LIBRARY

currently, minah was studying in the library on her own. she must've been the only one serious enough about the exams coming up, since there weren't many people inside either. luckily for her, it was the perfect moment to focus on her studies in peace.

unfortunately though, there wasn't much peace, since all she was thinking about was her previous encounter with her former best friend. the fact that he didn't seem even a percent as affected as she, was bothered her.

and as if on queue, the guy that had been taunting her inside of her head walked into the library. at first, minah taught it was just any other student, but when she looked up to see who it was, their eyes met.

her heart jumped as she was startled by the sudden eye contact, simultaneously hoping he wouldn't dare step foot anywhere near her, let alone sit next to her.

but of course, she knew better than to hope for something that seemed to good to be true. so she watched him approach her.

seeing that the library was practically empty, he could've take literally any seat. but no, he just had to pick the one next to minah. it was as if he did it to bother her on purpose.

as heeseung sat down, he looked at minah until she looked back at him. it wasn't until he said something that she finally gave in.

"hey." his gentle voice spoke, trying to gain the girl's attention.

finally, minah looked back at him and just nodded in response. immediately after, she redirected her attention to her books and pretended to study again, hoping he'd leave her alone.

which he did, but how was she supposed to study with him next to her. she couldn't even focus on her work if she wanted to, when all she wanted to do was punch him in the face and tell him to leave.

it took a few minutes of her trying to calm herself down before she could get back on track. but just as she was about to continue, she was interrupted by him again.

heeseung, who had his laptop out, pointed at something on the screen and tapped on minah's shoulder.

"what do you think he meant by that?" he asked the girl, referring to something their history professor had said during today's lecture.

minah internally sighed, annoyed by the boy's antics. he probably only asked her get her attention, and unfortunately it was working. she looked at the screen and read what it said.

she just shrugged. "i don't know. ask him." she replied coolly and went back to her work.
