"What!! you can't just make me marry you, I don't want to. this is going too far I don't mind getting fired cause this is really way out of line, and also I can pay you back the money I owe you for my mom's treatment" I said looking for his card on my desk just then his hands sneaked around my waist as he pinned me to the wall

"Wh__" he cut me short with a kiss on the lip God his lips was so soft and arousing and suffocating I wanted to kiss back but I had my pride I pushed him but he didn't budge I kept pushing and hitting his chest I think he got the hint cause he withdrew himself

I swear I could see hurt in his eyes or maybe I saw something else I was about walking away

"Please Evelyn please" I was astonished was the almighty xavier brook begging me

"Just for 4 months and you'll be free please" He said as he silently left the room

Okay this was pure emotional blackmail am sure he knows am a people pleaser and is using this against me but he looked so desperate should I help him?

But only for four months plus it can be quite helpful for my financial status. Okay that's it am doing this

Everything was so fast that I didn't even realize I was already in a dress and at the aisle getting married off to some man I only had about 4 conversations with. Well this was my choice so I have to flow with it.

It got to the part 'I do'

There stood a priest who I expected won't be so young he looked like he was in his early 20's
He gave me a smile before saying

"Mr xavier Anthony Brooks do you promise to take Mrs Evelyn finn in sickness, health, wealth and in poverty as your lawfully wedded wife"

  wait his middle name is Anthony

"Yes I do" he said without hesitation

Then the priest turned to me I knew it was my turn to say I do, I braced myself as I was about to sell myself to the devil only for 4 months

"Miss Evelyn finn do you promise to takebMr xavier Anthony Brooks in sickness, health, wealth and in poverty as your lawfully wedded husband"

"Y-ye-yes i-i do" it was done I was married to this man the wedding wasn't even the type of wedding a girl would wish on herself I didn't have any bridesmaid, there was no flower girl he had no best man the only guest we had was some business associates and some paparazzi which I guess was paid to be here.

"Before I pronounce you husband and wife does anyone have any objection"

Xavier looked around like he was ready to kill anyone who dares to object

"Since there is no objection I now pronounce you husband and wife you may not kiss the bride"

Wait 'not' I turned to look at the priest laughing hysterically was I dreaming

"Bro be serious for once" xavier replied giving the priest a glare and then proceeding to kiss me I moved back and he frowned
I came down from the altar holding his hand as though we were a happy couple as the flashing lights of the paparazzi continued.

The drive home was long I wanted to fall asleep but the thoughts in my head kept me busy

Will I still be the maid in the house?

Do I still get that my old room?

Will I be famous?

Are we going to sleep in the same room?

Can I still go to school?

"Evelyn! Eve!" His shouting brought me back to reality we were home. Xavier just got out and went in without even helping me out. This dress was uncomfortable as hell. The driver gave me a pitiful glance then helped me out. I hate being pitied but I had no choice this was my life now for the next 4 months
Buy wait a minute am the one dou for him a favour so who is he to treat me like this. 24 hours ago he was on his knees begging me to become his wife now he is acting like am the one that forced him in this.

So what do you want him to do?

Nothing just that he should be more considerate he forced me in this not the other way around

I walked into the mansion then saw new set of maids all lined up in front of xavier as he was blabbing about something while I was busy looking for lizzie among the maids but she was not there.

I walked straight to xavier and asked where lizzie was

"Oh lizzie she quit" he said it like it meant nothing and continued with the conversation with the maids I was shocked why will she quit? I ran to my room in the maid quarter to get my phone but the door refused to open

"That's not your room anymore I had your things moved to your new room slut " I knew who that piercing voice belonged to

"You're back?"

"I left only for 2 months and you managed to rope yourself with xavier, you really are a whore"

"Mind your mouth Cynthia am no longer a maid am now a brook which means I can get you out of This house with just a snap of my finger. now if you will excuse I've got some important things to do" I don't know where this boldness came from but am loving it especially the shocked face of Cynthia

Ughhh I was still in my wedding dress

"Ma'm Mr Brooks has assigned me as your personal maid, my name is Charlotte Martin"

"Yeah, yeah please can you get me to my room I need this dress off me"

She guided me somewhere I guess is my room

"Miss Brooks this is your room" I nodded then dismissed her politely

I opened the door

"Holy shit! What the f**k" xavier shouted
