Ahh, September.
It's the month where summer ends and the leaves start to turn different colors. September marks the start of fall, which is arguably the best season.
The season where pumpkin spice flavored items are sold everywhere, and when sweaters are allowed to be worn. It's the season of perfect weather, sprinkled with crunchy leaves.
I mean, doesn't that sound like heaven? It sure does sound like it to me. Honestly, it's way better than whatever I deal with now. Autumn helps get rid of the bad thoughts, which I definitely need right now.
Although it's more for the people that surround me. They really need to clear their minds, because all they do is spread negativity.
That's something I want to steer away from.
-----
"Matt! Chris! I'm heading out on a walk. I'll be back later, love you." I yell to my brothers before I head out into the warm air.
It's really nice outside, so I decided to take a walk.
I slammed the door behind me, before facing towards the outside world. Wind brushes against my cheeks, and leaves start to fall against the brick road I was currently walking on.
I want to go to a new place I haven't been before. Some place that can give me importance and value. A place that can give me something I long for.
My feet carry me away to a place where I would be spending my next couple of hours.
-----
I walked through a beautiful forest to get to this spot. The sun shines through the trees, and birds fly high above in the sky.
There are maple trees and pine trees everywhere I walk, and logs and branches litter the ground. Small mushrooms sprout from little nooks and crannies, and small rodents run across the damp soil.
Fresh air made its way into my nose and filled my lungs, relaxing me quite a bit.
This was something I wanted to experience every single day of my life. The relaxation and calmness seemed to grasp all of my senses and attention.
Nonetheless, my feet carry me away until they aren't able to anymore.
I had ended up at the foot of a mountain, which I definitely can't climb. It's steep and slick with water that has trickled down the mountainside.
There is a big rock that's a couple feet away from the mountainside, so I travel over to the spot and sit on the rock.
I take out my camera to take pictures of the beautiful scene. My purple hair flows in the wind as I bring up the camera to my face.
Focusing the camera Lense on the small stream that falls off the mountainside, I notice a small crystal hiding in between the other small rocks.
huh.
That's weird, I think to myself.
When I first saw it, it seemed to glow with a catchy aura, but when I looked at it again, it was just a normal crystal.
Curious thoughts cloud my mind, so I decide to go over and see what the rock looks like. My legs force me to stand up, as I can't walk while sitting down.
I make it to the stream, so I bend over a bit to get a good look at the water. I take my hands out of my pocket to search the cold water, in hopes to find the crystal that caught my attention.
As I'm turning over rocks, I find a purple one, which has me picking it up and giving it a good look.
"Oh, sweet" I whisper to myself. This seems like the one I saw over on the rock I was sitting on.
It's just a pretty looking crystal. It almost looks like obsidian, but it has purple streaks woven throughout the hard layers.
I put the rock into my bag and continue looking through the small stream. I dig my hands in the freezing cold water, because I want to find another rock that looks similar to the one I just found. There are a couple crystals that I find pretty, but none of them look like the purple one, so I pick them up and place them into my bag.
I end up going back to the big rock I was sitting on before, because I want to continue taking pictures of the beautiful scenery.
I sit there for a while taking pictures, but once the sky started turning a darker shade, I packed up my stuff and started my long way back home.
-----
"Hey guys! I'm home. I just got back from my walk," I say as I slam the front door shut.
My hands and my feet are freezing, as the sudden darkness outside has made the temperature drop quite significantly.
"Oh, hey Nick. You were gone for quite a while on your walk. What did you do?" Chris says as he makes his way downstairs and into the kitchen.
"Nothing much, to be honest. I took a couple of pictures over in this new spot I found, but other than that, I didn't really do anything." I reply to Chris.
I had made my way over to the barstool and sat down at the island, as Chris searched the fridge for a Pepsi.
Chris and I got caught up in a small conversation, before I decided to get ready and head to bed. I had to do some editing for a Friday video, but other than that, I was ready to get some sleep.
My legs and my feet were exhausted from the walking I did today, so walking up the stairs felt like torcher. Nonetheless, I made it to my room, and I was able to change into my PJ's.
I jumped onto my bed and grabbed my computer, getting ready to edit.
My eyes longed for rest, so as soon as I was done, my head hit the pillow and I was gone into the land of dreams.
