'Oh shit. This is really awkward.' I whisper to myself.

The two girls I saw previously were whispering among each other, but they were both glancing at me. One girl had a worried face, while the other looked serious.

I can't help but wonder what they're thinking.

'They probably think I'm a fucking weirdo.'

One of the girls looked straight into my eyes, which sent shivers down my spine.

'I should probably get out of here.'

Pulling my bike away from the tree, I got ready to get the hell out of this place. My hands readjusted my backpack on my shoulder.

"Wait! Uhm... don't go!" I hear from the girls across from me.

I glance over to the girls before setting my bike down on the tree. I really don't want to be here right now.

"Listen this is going to sound really weird, but have you seen a stone laying around here? It kind of looks like this one" The young girl held up a pink rock with black layers riding in between.

It looked just like the one I had found a couple of days ago.

"Uh yeah actually. I have it in my bag- hold on." I respond to the stranger. I have no idea why I'm talking to these girls. They could be fucking serial killers.

I search through my bad and find the rock after a couple of seconds.

"Here it is. I'm not going to lie to you, weird shit has been happening with this rock."

My feet crunched against the rocks as I made my way over to the girls. Something told me they knew what was going on.

"Yeah, I bet. It happened to us too" The other girl responded.

"Oh, so this is some power-ranger type shit" I say with a monotone voice.

Okay, yeah. This is awkward as hell.

"Yeah, you could say that I guess."

A couple moments go by, and everything starts to become uncomfortable.

"This is definitely not like the movies." I whisper to myself, but I'm loud enough, so the two strangers could hear me.

"Yeah, It's definitely not. But uhm... I'm Baily" said the girl that held up the pink rock.

She had darker hair and had tattoos littering her body. They didn't overpower her, but they looked absolutely amazing. The other girl had blonde hair and she's quite tall and skinny. She had a peaceful look to her eyes that made her feel safe and calm.

"Oh! I'm Maggie" said the girl with blonde hair. She held out her hand for me to shake, which I gladly took.

"I'm Nick. Nothing too exciting" I smiled to the two girls before the conversation died down.

We stood there in uncomfortable silence, before Baily spoke up.

"Listen... I know we just met but we can tell you a bit about what's going on. Maggie and I were about to go hang out with the other.... uhm... I guess, superpower people?" Baily said, breaking the silence. She looked as if she wanted to die when she said that.

"Uh sure" I replied.

No thoughts are circling my mind.

It's like a blank sheet of paper.
