She stays as still as possible, not moving an inch. The coyote exits the bush slowly, snarling at Y/N. She wonders if she should yell and run or run and then yell. She goes for the latter.

She darts towards their camp, "Ghost!"

Meanwhile, at the frantic scream of his name, Ghost jumps up, his rifle in hand. He sees Y/N run in the distance, a coyote trying to bite at her ankles. His previous comment about a coyote taking Y/N off his hands was a joke, yet here she is.
Riley stares at the scene unfolding, and goes back to sleep. Traveling with Ghost, he had seen worse.
Ghost readies his rifle, waiting for the right moment to shoot the angry animal. The coyote manages to bite Y/N's dress, giving Ghost the opportunity to shoot it. The coyote falls, dead. Y/N collapses to the ground, breathing heavily as Ghost runs up to her, seething.

He squats down and grabs her by her shoulders, "What in the bloody hell was that?! Do you not know that you can't outrun a coyote? Have you no sense of preservation?!" He exclaims, shaking her.

She doesn't respond, simply staring at Ghost with empty eyes. He sighs, standing up and helping her up simultaneously.

"For future reference, you need to show you're big and loud to scare the coyote away, never run," he comments a bit more calmly this time.

She doesn't say a thing, letting herself be lead by Ghost. He helps her sit down on the sleeping bag he had prepared for himself. He hadn't taken out hers yet to tease her some more but it seems like that's enough teasing her for today.

"I'm going to bring the wood for the fire, stay put," as he stands up, a hand grasps his sleeve. He turns back to see Y/N's hand shaking slightly.

"Don't leave me," she says in a small voice.

He breathes in deeply and tries to be understanding. "If I don't set up a fire, the cold will get us," he ponders for a moment, "You can come with me, then."

Her eyes widen slightly and he scoffs. "Nothing will hurt you, I'll be with you."

With that said, she nods and follows Ghost to collect the wood.

They sit and eat the stew Ghost had prepared. It took a lot of patience to convince Y/N to eat it.

She pokes at the last bits of stew in her bowl with her spoon. Ghost had gotten his fill already, so he stares at the fire, sitting relaxed on the sleeping bag he had initially hid from Y/N.

"You wanted to know what had happened?" She asks, her voice devoid of any emotion.

Ghost's eyes snap over to Y/N's face, which is solemn. He hums, indicating that he's listening.

"They were talking about me, Makarov and my father. I don't know about what exactly as I only caught the end of their conversation but Makarov shot him in the end. I ran downstairs only to find all of the house workers tied up on the ground. Makarov said he wants to marry me to get my father's fortune, which is mine now, I guess," she keeps poking at the leftover stew, "in an effort to convince me to listen to him, his guy shot one of the maids. My friend was next, and he said he'd keep her alive if I listened. She managed to redirect his attention to herself in an effort to help me escape. So, I did. After running for however long, you found me."

He feels sorry for her, just for how she had lived such a sheltered life, only to be stripped of everything and forced out into the real world in one night.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that," he says with sympathy.

She suddenly looks at him, their eyes meeting. "Did you take care of my cut?"
