"Bloody hell," Ghost mumbles under his breath. He had unintentionally fallen asleep on the uncomfortable chair, only for an hour. During that hour, Y/N managed to completely change her sleeping position—her head where her legs are supposed to be, and the blanket wrapped around her body in a weird way.
He gets up from the chair and walks over to her sleeping form. The sun had already risen, meaning they should leave as soon as possible."Wake up," he says, only for her to not budge. "Hey," he says louder, which still doesn't wake her. He lays a gloved hand on her shoulder, and nudges her. "Wake—"
Her eyes fly open and she screams upon seeing his masked face. He staggers back in shock, and she sits up.
"My God, you scared the hell out of me!" She rubs her forehead.
"Why the fuck did you scream like that?"She huffs sarcastically, her shoulders relaxing. "Who wouldn't scream seeing a skull after opening their eyes first thing in the morning?"
Ghost rolls his eyes at her dramatics. "Get up. We're leaving."

"Will you finally tell me where we're going?" Y/N asks as she sits in her usual spot on Riley, in front of Ghost.
"A hideout."
"And? That's it? You're not going to tell me more?"Ghost ignores Y/N just like the other times she had asked. She doesn't know why she decided to trust him. Perhaps it was the fact that she was all alone and about to be forced into a marriage with her father's killer, or Ghost just seemed trustworthy the moment he found her. Either way, she had grown fond of Ghost, much to her dismay. Although he is mostly cold and rude to her, he did buy her a new dress and a book, he also comforted her the first time they met, in his own way. Through his hate for nobility he still cared enough to treat her as a human being.
She, however, doesn't know the true reason behind Ghost's 'caring' for her. After hours of traveling, they had finally reached an estate in the middle of nowhere. From an outsider's perspective it looks abandoned, which is the exact reason why they chose this location.
After Ghost had led Riley into the stables where there were already two horses, they walk towards the main entrance. Before they can knock, a man opens the door, holding a gun pointed at her face. Y/N's eyes widen in shock, but before she can run, Ghost holds her in place by her forearm. She looks at him, brows contracted in confusion. He doesn't seem to be bothered by the gun."L/N," Ghost simply says her last name, which she had not told him.
A look of surprise graces the man's features as he lowers the gun. "That's the daughter?" He asks.
"In the flesh," Ghost answers, shoving her into the house. She forgets everything nice she had thought about Ghost as she almost falls to the ground. She would've, unless the man hadn't caught her. Ghost doesn't spare her a glance as he walks in as if he had been here thousands of times before. He leans against the railing of the stairs.
"Ghost," the man mumbles under his breath disappointedly while steadying Y/N on her feet. "I'm sorry about him, he can be a bit of a prick sometimes, but I promise he's a good man. It's not personal. I'm John MacTavish," John smiles at Y/N politely, kissing her hand.
"Yes, I know all about his hatred of nobles. I suppose you already know my name?""Y/N L/N. We've been expecting you," another voice joins in. She looks towards the top of the stairs and sees a man walking down confidently. He stops in front of her, tipping his hat. "Alejandro Vargas, pleasure to meet you."
She stares at both men standing in front of her, trying to understand what is going on. "I still don't know what I'm doing here, or where 'here' is. Or how you know who I am, for that matter," she says suspiciously. Normally she would've been nicer, but now that she's forced to survive, she can't help but be a little cautious.
