Pete paused in his tracks, turning to look over his shoulder in slight bemusement. It didn't surprise him at all that the first thing that was pointed out was that he wasn't a poser. Well, of course to the lame vampire boy he wouldn't see himself as a poser. That was a more nonconformist type of thing and that was how he and his nonconformist friends viewed the vampire kids since they were in a way impersonating them and giving them a bad image.

He wasn't as pressed about it as he used to be but the more he thought about it, the more annoyed he got. It was just how he was. He was the type to let go of things after a couple months or maybe even a year or two but if such and such was ever brought up or mentioned he'd probably go back to holding that grudge.

"Whatever Mike." It wasn't just that he didn't believe him but if he was being honest the other needed the dark lord. Well...Jesus as conformists usually turned to. Yeah, Mike definitely needed Jesus because only God's son could save him now.

Though realizing his thoughts, he bit the inside of his cheek harshly as he turned away from the other and folded his arms. He hated that he still thought of religion up to this stupid day since it would always remind him of his stupid parents and their stupid ways.

Hell, he'd probably torch their house like he torched Hot Topic with his fellow nonconformist buddies if he could. But he couldn't. They were his parents and as much as he hated to admit it, he loved them even though they got on his every nerve.

The more the other explained the whole drinking blood vampire rule, the more the red haired goth thought the other was delusional. But to his understanding; Mike's delusional mind was convinced that he a 'vampire' would only drink the blood of a mortal enemy and drain them completely.

He almost wanted to laugh but he wouldn't since they were in public and they were at work and to remain professional was a big thing for him especially since he'd already seen his nonconformist buddies here and a couple conformists he knew from school. As for 'friends' or 'lovers' according to the vampire wannabe, he could only drink their blood to an extent.

Hah.

If the other was an actual vampire, the vampire wannabe would've already sucked his blood by now since in fact they were enemies. Though, that word didn't feel right in his mind the minute the thought had come to mind. He only shook his head, not answering the other's question. In actuality he had expected something crazy. When he was a little kid, he theorized vampires fed off of any human they could get to especially if a human was their mate. Jee- he couldn't imagine the vampire wannabe with a mate now. Who would be happy with someone like Mike?

Him.

As quickly as he thought of himself, he felt his cheeks flush rather red. Was his mind giving him a sign that he was possibly in love with the other? After all, he couldn't picture the other with anyone since well who the fuck would like that guy? Not to mention his brain telling him that the only one he could picture with the vampire dude could be himself before he could even register it.

But what confused him the most was out of everyone it had to be, why'd it have to be a conformist? Specifically male. Couldn't his first crush had been someone who was at least a female so that his parents would approve? His parents weren't exactly homophobic, but they didn't scientifically see how the lgbtq+ community was possible plus they were really fucking religious.

He just couldn't love a conformist though the other nonconformists would hate him for that but if he were to date a nonconformist his parents would hate him for that so he was pretty much screwed and forced to choose between his friends and his family.

It was either risk being kicked out or risk losing friends. But he'd never had to think of this before since he'd never been in love. Maybe this wasn't even love though. Maybe it was just his first 'true' friend. No, that didn't sound right. First conformist friend? Still didn't sound right. First person he trusted? That sounded more right in the head but he was honestly amused with himself. Just why would he trust someone like Mike?
