PREFACE

Murtasim came and sat next to Meerab.The rest of the rules of marriage are fulfilled.Qazi said;

"Murtasim Shahnawaz khan 50 lakh rupe meher mein aap ka nikaah Meerab Waqas Ahmed ke sath tei kiya gaya hai.Kya aap ko yeh nikaah qubool hai."

Murtasim immediately said;

"Qubool hai."

Meerab looked at her father's face wet with tears and said,

"Qubool hai."

After Murtasim got married,he called his father Shahnawaz khan and asked him to come to the wedding house.Shahnawaz khan came here and was amazed.His son got married without informing anybody.He started screaming.Murtasim went ahead. Putting his hand on his father's shoulder,he only saying;

"Is gao ka sarbara hone ke nate mera yeh qadam uthana jaruri tha.Shadiwale din shadi tot jana ek bohot bari baat hai khas karke ladki aur ladki ke bap ke liye.Yeh gaowale zabardasti is ladki ki shadi usse dugni umar ke admi ke sath karna chahte the.Aur uske kirdar pe jo ungli uthai woh alag.Mere ankhon ke samne ek ladki ko mein ruswa hote huye kaise dekh sakta hu.Is liye maine shadi kar li.Aab kisi ke himmat nahi hogi meri biwi pe ungli uthane ki."

Shahnawaz khan turned red with anger.He looked at his son with bloodshot eyes and began to fume in anger.He cannot even imagine that his son is married to a girl whose father is working for them.Murtasim was not moved by Shahnawaz's fiery eyes.He failed to influence his son and turned towards Meerab.When he tried to slap Meerab on the cheek,Murtasim took Meerab by the hand and dragged her behind him.Says in a calm yet angry voice,

"Apni biwi par hath uthane ka haq maine kisi ko nahi diya.Agar aap ko hath uthana hi hai to mujh pe uthai meri biwi pe nahi."

Shahnawaz khan gritted his teeth and looked at his son.The son has not heard a single word from him till today.So it would be foolish to expect it to be heard today.He did not stay here for another moment. He quickly pressed the car and went to his home.Meerab is getting scared again and again.Murtasim notices this, orders everyone to arrange the car. When the car is arranged,Murtasim gets into the car with Meerab.Before leaving the car,Meerab's father wiped his eyes and said;

"Khan bohot acche insaan hai.Tumhe bohot khush rakhenge.Khush raho beta."

The car was released.Meerab had not looked at Murtasim.Looking quietly at the window.A gust of wind is touching her body.A soft voice playing in the car.
