Sooooo... I'm finally back. I'm sorry I've been away for so long, I've been dealing with some shit. But I'm back and ready to keep writing.
I saw that this is at over 4k reads, like wtf I never thought people would actually like my book that much especially since I failed english (I'm even not joking). You'll definitely be able to tell in this chapter I swear parts of it seem like its written by a 12 year old but I'm just gonna use my autism as an excuse for my poor writing skills.
I also want to check that everyone likes how I split my paragraphs, I hope they're not too short. I format them that way since I know I find it easier to read if the paragraphs are shorter. Also does having a new line after someone speaks good or bad. I just want to know your opinions so I can make the best book for you to read.
On to the book now though, don't wanna keep you waiting any longer <3

Marinette came into class surprisingly on time but also slightly limping. She winced as she sat down in her seat next to me. I could tell the amount of pain she was in. I wanted to say something, ask if she was ok, anything but nothing came out. All I could do was just stare at her.
Marinette didn't seem to notice though, she had her elbows on the table with her head in her hands just staring at the either the wall or the window. I couldn't tell since she seemed to just be in her own world.
"Marinette?" I said softly, finally being able to speak.
However I got no response, she didn't move a single muscle.
I gave her a small tap on the shoulder and she winced again, I caught a glimpse of her face and you could just see the pain in her eyes as she tried to conceal the amount of pain that she was in.
She slowly turned around to face me, "Whatever it is just save it, I'm not going to deal with it right now." She said bluntly.
Just as I was about to say something she turned back around and stared out the window.

As soon as the bell rang Marinette got up and left. I quickly packed up my stuff and ran after her. For someone with a sore leg she was really fast, by the time I found her she went through a door that said staff only. So, of course I did the only logical thing... and went after her.
The door led up to the roof. When I saw her on the roof she was taking her hoodie off. I just stood there at the top of the stairs in shock. She had an orange loose crop top on and all I could see was bruises covering her entire body.
"I am going to kill them" I blurted out.
She turned around quickly, startled to see that I was there.
"Who? Who are you going to kill?" her voice was trembling, "Why are you here?" she then seemed to realise that she didn't have her hoodie on, "Turn around!" she snapped.
"I'm going to kill who ever abused you like that" I explained as I turned around.
"Please don't do anything or say anything. Please", she truly seemed like she was scared out of her mind.
So I agreed purely because I didn't want her to be anymore scared than she already was. I did however promise myself that I wouldn't let her out of my sight at school. I wasn't going to let this happen again.
"Hey Marinette, why don't we go down to the library? So we can do something to take your mind off things." I said to her calmly.
She just looked at me and gave me a cute nod.
