"Come on!!! Why do you walk so slow??" Kevin cried for the third time so far.
We were out at the mall and I was all moody because I saw the cutest puppy and I can't have it. So naturally I'm suffering from a sad mood.
"Can you let the puppy go?? You have a baby brother, you don't need another thing to clean up after." Kevin had a point and by the time Theo would be considered old enough I would be living in the apartment. I sighed in defeat and tried to keep up with Kevin. He had insisted that he needed more clothes, a few shoes and other nessities for he was only allowed one bag and he had filled it with video games, books and hair products seriously sometimes I thought he was more of a girl than I am.
"That's the spirit." Kevin smiled noticing my improved mood. "How about we buy you some stuff huh?" I perked up quite considerably and I nodded excitedly. I dragged him into my favorite store and skipped to the sales rack picking out a few pink, coral, red, blue, purple and shade coloured clothes (shade colours being black, grey and white) a cute black dress caught my eye but I quickly scurried away from it seeing the price tag. Kevin was paying and though I love taking advantage of him I wouldn't dare make him spend that much. After trying all the tops on and deciding on the purple, red and coral I found the perfect pair of turquoise ripped jeans so I also kept the white crop top. I met Kevin at the counter and piled all my things on top of his, he smiled noticing the price and gave me a thankful look. He did give me one of his bags to carry as we wandered off to get shoes. Now is a good of time as any to confess my love of high tops and in the end I got a cute pair that had a spaceman suited up floating around in space and a bright floral patterned pair along with a simple pair of combat boots because they were on sale. Again Kevin gave me thankful look for letting him keep some of his money.
"I'll shout lunch." I said picking up my last bag of shopping. Kevin's ears perked up and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"What you want??" I asked as we found a spot and dumping all our shopping.
"Surprise me." Kevin said with a shrug smiling, that smile screamed ice cream and donuts so that's exactly what I got us. I got chocolate and caramel and Kevin got mint swirl with chocolate hail, and cookie monster decorated donuts, two each sounded good to me. I hurriedly made my way back to our table, being super careful not to drop anything.
"Thanks Kida. I owe you one." Kevin smiled taking his ice cream from my freezing fingers.
"Ha real funny Kev." I giggled.
"No I'm serious, you're the only one that remembers my favorite ice cream and donuts." Kevin looked at me seriously and I was having a hard time not cracking up. "That and you don't make me spend hundreds on you when we go shopping." I smiled at that. Though money wasn't much of a problem anymore I was still careful with it, I didn't like dipping into the money Naomi and Winston sent me though I would spend it on crap like food or slutty one time dresses. Lodgic.
"So what ya want to do now??" I asked taking a bite of my ice cream. Kevin shrugged and checked his phone.
"Oh my room mates at yours, he got a taxi from the airport. He got an earlier flight." Kevin looked up from his phone at me in shock horror. "Sorry love but we gotta go." I nod in response and pick up my shopping. We make it to the car and started the drive home, Kevin's leg giggling like mad.
"Dude will you calm down." I say my voice a little louder than usual.
"Sorry." Kevin mumbles but continues shacking his leg. "I just want you two to get along." That rang a bell, correction a freaking alarm. Kevin had this thing of setting me up with his friends and it did not go well last time, in total honesty his friends were twats with an occasional exception.
"Kevin." My tone was a cautious warning one, what Dad calls my 'all knowing' voice. "What the hell are you up to? I thought we agreed no more setting me up with your friends."
Kevin sighed dramatically rolling his eyes and tapping his foot down aggressively.
"First of all my room mate thinks you look cute so I thought it would be a great chance for you to move on, second he's not my friend he's my room mate, completely different."
Kevin smirked slightly knowing that he'd bullshitted his way to a loop hole. Brilliant.
"I'm not in the freaking mood Kev, it's been a year I know but I will date a guy when I freaking well want to." I kept my voice calm, knowing that if I start yelling at Kevin he'll yell back and we'll scare his room mate away, who'll live on the street and die. "Your taste in friends are copies of yourself, to put it bluntly, players. Don't deny it Kev. You need to stay out of my love life because it gets harder to talk to you, you like your friends, I can't stand half of them and... I don't want to not have you as my best cousin."
Kevin sighs in defeat as we pull into my street, a figure waiting outside my front door...
Let's hope he's not like Lucas...
