It’s been a long week, and I wanted to call her so bad but I didn’t want to seem like I was desperate or I had nothing better to do. So I sat around my house. Didn’t answer when she called, though I really wanted and let my mind wander back to the kiss.

I wished I knew how I felt.

It was barely a brush of lips that set my heart racing? Why? Was it because of she’s Kaithlyn’s sister or was it because she was the least likely to kiss me.

I picked up the phone and began to text, struggling with words till I finally typed So Emma, it’s been a long time, wanna hang out?

I hesitated before sending the message wondering what she’d say. I sent in anyway. I waited impatiently. Finally realising it might take longer for her to reply I went to stalk her facebook. I rarely went on facebook not seeing the purpose of the site. She sent me a friend request a while back but I was lazy to accept it. So I accepted it now.

Her profile picture was one of her smiling as she read a story book, The adventures of Tom Sawyer. I had the same book on my shelf but I hadn’t read it after the first chapter, It was boring. She looked so delicate and pretty. I looked through her wall reading all of her statuses, laughing at some and frowning at others.

Is it just me or is there something scary about your missing date meeting you in boxers?

I coughed recognising that as the first time Emma and I met. I wondered if that was what she had thought of me that day.

I looked at the comments. Kaithlyn commented OHMYGOSH, RAPIST MUCH?

My face turned red. Emma replied Not really he was sweet, I guess

Kaithlyn: Who was he?

Emma didn’t reply that on her status.

I turned around, I can’t seem to go to Kaithlyn’s profile anymore. I wanted to see Kaithlyn so bad. I looked up to see a status from Kaithlyn.

Having a great time with my cousin Emma.

Then Emma texted me “I don’t want to talk to you anymore,”

I ran to my car as I drove over to her house.

I heard Kaithlyn before I opened the door and I knocked impatiently. There was a silence and I heard Emma shuffle to her feet.

She opened the door. Emma’s hair spilling over her bare shoulders, she was stunning. A golden dress falling elegantly over her creamy skin, her eyes were watery the minute they fell on mine. “Drake, why are you here?”

I felt my mouth go dry. “I…”

“Drake?” Kaithlyn whispered so softly as I saw her familiar blond hair. Her eyes were filled with hurt. “Why are you here?” She looked away.

Then Emma slammed the door, but I caught sight of the one tear anyway.

“LEAVE ME ALONE!”

She yelled at me. I pounded the door. “Emma, Please,” I yelled at the door.

“No, Leave Kaithlyn alone!” She cried again.

I closed my eyes. I haven’t seen her, talked to her, or heard her for so long. She had disappeared from my life. I had needed to find her, now she’s here so close within my reach.

((Keep taking me back to the start...))
