I would always be the shadow at the back behind Emma. She pulled me with her gravity. It felt wrong being with Kaithlyn.

Few days back, I could have sworn Kaithlyn was the girl for me. We were perfect with each other, she was the girl I fell for, But the feeling I felt for Emma was stronger. I genuinely wanted to love Kaithlyn the way I was supposed to be.

How can you love someone when you know another girl’s got you by her small pinky?

What I was doing now, was sick and wrong, leading Kaithlyn on, It’s crystal clear. I loved Emma, that’s why I called Kaithlyn, I had to end it now, then I need to win Emma back from her boyfriend Tim.

She came in a few minutes, hiding her swollen belly as she entered Starbucks. She saw me sitting in the corner and her face lit up in a smile, I smiled back, my body relaxing. She sat down carefully next to me and we looked at each other for a few minutes. “I’m sorry,” I whispered. I looked away from her blue orbs, “This isn’t going to work out Kaithlyn, I loved you but things have changed, I’m not the same love struck boy I was when you left, I’ve grown, It’s not going to work out,”

I looked at her to see her crying.

Being the coward I was I turned around and left without saying anything.

I was playing on my PSP, ancient I know when I heard my phone ring. Thinking it was Kaithlyn or John I ignored it. Later I heard my mom enter the house and then she came upstairs yelling profanities at me.

But my mother doesn’t swear…. She banged my door and opened it. Emma stood there in a beautiful black shirt and shorts. I didn’t have time to drool over her beauty as she decided it was time to attack me, She pulled my hair, blond and outgrown and forced my face off her flat stomach to look at her eyes. “WHAT THE FUCK DRAKE!” She swore at me.

“Hey sexy,” I greeted. Closing my eyes as she tugged my hair again harder, It wasn’t passionate, it just hurt like hell. “Isn’t there a nicer way to talk about your undying love for me?” She made a weird choking sound that turned me on.

“WHAT THE HELL, YOU DUMPED HER AT STARBUCKS?” She yelled and pushed me and I slammed my head against the bed.

She kicked my knee, it didn’t hurt so badly, but it was getting me annoyed. “So? It’s none of your business Emma,” I yelled at her. I stood up abandoning my PSP on the bed.

She started punching my chest. “Why did you dump her?” She asked. I couldn’t see her face beneath her hair, but it seemed chocked out.

I held her fists, “It didn’t feel right,” I whispered into her hair.

“How can it not feel right, you’ve loved her for so long and…” She left the last words unsaid, it wasn’t pleasant but it was the truth and right now, I could tell she didn’t want to say it.

Her words struck chords in me, “I changed,” I whispered.

“It’s my fault isn’t it?” She muttered. Emma looked at me her brown eyes meeting my blue ones, “Can’t you stay with her? Please?” She asked.

“You know the answer to that,” I said.

Emma looked at me, confused, angry and surprised. I thought she was going to kiss me but she pulled away, and looked at her phone. “Tim’s calling,” She said. “Be quite,”

She answered the phone. “Hey!” She greeted cheerfully.

I smirked “Oh godddd, Emma,” I moaned.

Her eyes widened. “Oh I’m not doing anything,”

“Your fucking amazing,” I groaned louder, her fingers slammed on my mouth where I liked them.

“No, it’s just an idiot in the back,”

“Emma put the phone down and lets go back to business,” I said naughtily.

She glared at me and said to the phone, “I’m in Drake’s place, he’s acting like an idiot,” I could see the smile on her lips as she resisted laughing at my pathetic attempts.

“Sure I’ll meet you there,” She said her grin huge. Emma shut down the phone and looked at me smirking, “I’m going out with Tim,” She said cheerily. Her eyes sobered up suddenly, “Am I the reason you broke up with Kaithlyn?” She asked softly.

I looked into her beautiful eyes, knowing I can’t lie. “Yes.”
