Jashan was keeping an eye on Alexis, who had been looking particularly downtrodden lately. She seemed to be missing someone, and Jashan felt like she wanted to do something to cheer her up. So, when everybody else went off to lunch recess, Jashan, Peace, and Khansa stayed behind in the classroom to comfort Alexis.
As they sat with her, discussing her feelings and trying to make her feel better, Jashan noticed that Kris had joined them. Kris was a good friend of Alexis, and she seemed to know just what to say to make her feel better. She sat down beside her and hugged her, and Jashan couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy.
But then, as they were all sitting together, talking and laughing, something unexpected happened. Kris leaned in and kissed Alexis on the cheek. It was a quick, spontaneous moment, but the impact was immediate. The whole room seemed to come to a standstill, and Jashan couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Khansa and Peace were both shocked, too, and they turned to Kris in disbelief. Jashan felt like she was in the middle of a dream, and she couldn't quite bring herself to speak.
After a few moments of stunned silence, Kris finally broke the tension. She looked around at them all and said, "What? It's no big deal, right? We're all friends here. It's just a sign of affection, right?" But Jashan couldn't quite muster up the words to respond.
As the dust settled and the shock wore off, Jashan found herself deep in thought. She felt as though she had just seen a whole new side to Kris, and she was struggling to process it. She had thought of her as a friend, but now she wasn't so sure. She felt like she didn't know who Kris really was, and that frightened her.
But as the day went on, Jashan couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed between her and Kris. She found herself avoiding Kris's gaze, and when she did bump into her in the hallways, their conversations felt stilted and awkward.
After everyone in the room went to their respective classrooms, Jashan was left sitting in the classroom alone. She was still struggling to come to terms with what had happened, and she remained seated in her chair, deep in thought. As she sat there, she couldn't help but feel a sense of emptiness. She had always seen Alexis and Kris as close friends, but now she wasn't so sure. She had always seen Kris as a friendly, approachable person, but now she didn't know what to think.
As the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, Jashan pulled herself together and headed to her next class. But as she walked down the hall, she couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed in her relationship with Kris.
She tried to push the feeling aside as she walked through the halls, but it was no use. She felt like she was carrying a heavy weight with her, and she didn't know how to make it go away.
As she took her seat in her next classroom, she found herself distracted. She couldn't focus on the lesson, and her mind kept wandering back to Kris and the kiss. She felt like she was in a fog, and she couldn't seem to shake it off.
As the day went on, Jashan found herself getting more and more frustrated. She didn't know how to talk to Kris about what happened, and she didn't want to ruin their friendship. But at the same time, she didn't want to just let things stay the way they were.
As the school day came to an end, Jashan made her way to the bus stop, still deep in thought. She knew she had to talk to Kris about what had happened, but she wasn't sure how to approach it. She hoped that things would go back to the way they were before, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed between them forever.
