Alright, let's make it longer. In class 5S, everyone was preparing for the day's lessons, but ROB was being extremely loud and disruptive. Other students were getting annoyed and told him to be quiet, but he just wouldn't listen. The teacher tried to get him to settle down, but he kept causing mischief. It was getting to the point where other students were having a hard time focusing on their work.
Just when things seemed to be getting out of hand, Jashan and a few others decided to take matters into their own hands. They approached ROB and told him that his behavior was disruptive and that he needed to calm down. ROB initially didn't listen, but after being told multiple times, he finally settled down. The class was able to continue with the day's lessons.
Jashan didn't feel sad for Rob because he'd been disruptive in class, causing problems for the teacher and other students. He had been disrespectful and didn't seem to understand the consequences of his actions. Jashan's priority was to make sure the class ran smoothly and that everyone had a chance to learn and participate. She wasn't going to let Rob's behavior stand in the way of that. She knew she had to be firm with him, and though she didn't like to see him upset, she also knew it was necessary to keep the class running smoothly.
It was one of the hottest days of the year, and even the air conditioning in the classrooms of 5S wasn't enough to keep the students cool. As 3:30 approached, Jashan and the other students of 5S prepared to move to the classroom of 6L for the last half hour of the school day. Jashan was feeling exhausted and just wanted to get home, but there was still one more period to get through. As they made their way down the hallway, Jashan couldn't help but notice ROB, who was also heading to 6L. She had heard stories about ROB's behavior and had tried to stay out of his way, but now she found herself walking right past him. Jashan's attention was suddenly drawn to the iPad in ROB's hand. She couldn't help but wonder why he was looking at pictures of girls on his iPad. Just as she was about to ask him, a student suddenly hit Jasper and accused him of bullying. Rob, who was nearby, broke down in tears and Jashan couldn't help but roll her eyes and mutter, "Cry baby."*
*Maryam, who had been listening in from afar, stepped in and told ROB to stop crying and that no one liked him. Jashan felt a bit guilty for her comment, but she was just so fed up with ROB's constant bullying. As the bell rang, everyone made their way to 6L for their last period of the day. Jashan couldn't wait for the day to be over so she could go home and try to forget all the drama.*
*Jasper, Jashan, and Maryam were all called to the principal's office after school to explain the bullying incident. They apologized to ROB and admitted that they had been picking on him because he was annoying. They also promised to be nicer to him in the future. Ms. Wong, the guidance counselor, and Mr. Lau, the discipline teacher both gave them a stern talking-to and reminded them about the importance of showing kindness and respect to their classmates. They also urged them to be more mindful of their own behavior and to not allow their emotions to get the better of them. After the meeting, Jashan, Jasper, and Maryam
