Adella's pov:The fresh air filled my lungs as I took a deep breath composing myself.
'Alright trouble?' A familiar British accent asked wrapping an arm around my waist. I sighed my arms circling her neck and pulled her closer to me need the contact.
We stayed like that for a moment, my head hidden in her chest.
'I'm sorry' I mumbled.
'You got nothing to be sorry about Ells' She said softly stoking my cheek with her thumb. I was annoyed with myself. Why did I have to get worked up over such little things. They probably all thought I was mad. They probably all hated-
'They don't hate you' G whispered like she could read my mind.
'They should do. I had no reason to get worked up' I sighed resting my forehead on hers and my eyes fluttered shut.
'You are allowed to feel like that my love' she said lacing our fingers.
'I'm still sorry' I mumbled opening my eyes to see hers boring into mine. Instead of replying she leaned in and placed her lips on mine. It was just as amazing as I remembered. Her lips moved in like with mine and I was on cloud 9.
'We really should talk about that'
'We should. But not right now!' I grinned suddenly happy again and dragged her back inside the cafe.
Me and Matty walked at the back of the group with G and Kiera at the front taking us on a little tour even though we were the ones who lived here. There was something comforting about walking through the streets I had walked through 1 million times. I enjoyed the familiarity. I rarely got homesick but it was moments like that I wished I had never left.
'You miss it' Matty commented. It has always been easy for him to read me. As it is easy for me to read him. Sibling bond as we like to call it.
I shrugged.
'It's been a while' I said and it had. It had been for too long.
'Whose faults that' he said. He wasn't upset and I knew he wasn't but it was a genuine question he had.
'It's not that easy Mats' I tried to explain to him. I had to put football and my career first. It would always come first.
'Isn't it? All you have to do is get on a plane. I'm your family Addy' he said, his tone not accusing me but sad for me. For the both of us.
'I try!' I defended myself. He was acting as if I was the sole reason for our not so great family relationship.
'Well clearly not hard enough' he said.
'Don't start. I train 4 times a week and have at least 1 game a week and what do you do?Thats right YOU HAVEN'T GOT A JOB!' I was not going to stand here and listen to him blame it all on me. By now everyone else has stopped walking and turned around after hearing the shouting in Catalan.
'fot-te' was all he could say before storming off to stand with Lina as we all started to walk again. (Fuck you)
This happened all the time. Every time I visited or he came to Germany we would end up arguing. And every time he would act as if it was all my fault. Sometimes he pissed me off so much. It wasn't all my fault.
A soft hand slipped into mine.
'You okay trouble?' G's familiar voice asked me laced with a slight bit of worry.
'He just frustrates me Georgie' I said unlacing our fingers and winding my arm around her waist needing the skin on skin contact.
'Do you wanna talk about it?' She offered her arm coming round my shoulders keeping me close.
'Not really' I sighed resting my head on her shoulder.
'Okay but I wanna see all the best places for someone who actually grew up here not who had just been here for about 5 minutes'
No one's pov:
They walked into Adella's favourite restaurant for food after a long day of sightseeing. They were greeted by the owner the second the door opened.
'Adella! Matty! tornar tan aviat?' Carlos grinned at 2 Catalonian's leading the way. (Back so soon)
'no ens vam poder allunyar' Adella smiled back at him as they kissed each other's cheeks. (We just couldn't stay away) The other four were slightly confused as they had not been told to expect others.
'i has comprat amics' The older man said happily. (And you brought friends) He had a brightness around him that was similar to that of Adella's.
'Sí, volíem ensenyar-los les millors Tapas del món' Matty said while the man greeted him as he had Adella. (Yep we wanted to show them the best Tapas in the world)
'Oooo m'encanta conèixer gent nova' Carlos said happily the rest of the group had a chance to look around the restaurant. (Ooo I love meeting new people) It was cosy with the smell of traditional fresh Spanish food in the air.
'd'acord però no parlen català ni castellà' Adella warned the exited man. (Okay but they don't speak Catalan or Spanish) Unknown to the others but Georgias face flushed pink at the sound of Adella speak her native language. She adored the way it sounded.
'està bé amb què parlo anglès' Carlos said turning to the rest of the group. (That's fine I speak English too)
'Okay then Carlos these are my friends Georgia, Kiera, Lina, Sarah and Laura' Adella said pointing to everyone as they all awkwardly waved.
'Guys this is Carlos. He owns the restaurant and we come here so often we are friends' She said as the others slowly nodded in understanding.
They were all stuffed about an hour later and ready to leave until the whole restaurant went quiet. Suddenly Happy Birthday started to play really loud as Carlos brought out a cake, winking at Adella as the Catalonian mouthed a thank you. Georgia blushed bright red and hid her face in her hands. The whole restaurant was singing happy birthday at that point while Geogia sat there bright red but slightly smiling.
Once the singing stopped she turned to Adella.
'I hate you' she said smiling.
'No you don't'
