*Beep beep beep*
"Arghh" I groan rolling over, running my hand over my drawer looking for the thing that dares to disturb my sleep. "Miss Jones," I hear someone outside the door knocking quietly.

"Yes?" I reply stumbling out of bed and I luckily land on my feet.

"It's almost 8:30. You better get up if you don't want to be late," Miles replies, his British accent wrapping every word.

I snap my head up at the alarm clock and notice I only have 10 minutes to get dressed and 5 minutes to get to school. I pull out my glasses, a pair of tattered converses, a knitted sweater with a cat on it and some black leggings.

"I'll be down soon Miles!" I shout tying my hair back in a pony tail before letting some loose strands run down my face. I grab my light brown pen and draw freckles on my face before taking a look at myself in my full body mirror and admiring my geeky look.

"Perfect." I mutter before swinging my door open. I run down stares to meet Miles by the door way and my lunch in his hand.

I'm only 5 steps away from Miles before I slip up and land on my butt with a thud. I lay down on the floor red as red can be.

"Stupid waxed marble floors," I stand up brushing myself off noticing Miles to my left analysing my body.

"I'm fine Miles," I giggle straightening him up.

"That sounded like it hurt, Miss" Miles replies giving one last glance. "Are you sure you're okay?" He asks.

"Yes I'm sure I'm okay Miles, thank you." I reply giving a small smile.

"We better get going if you don't want to be late." Miles interrupts my smile.

"Oh, yeah,"

I quickly race out the door and into my car. Miles has to drive it because I'm only on my learners.

"Why don't you like taking your Bentley, Miss?" Miles asks looking at me in the mirror.

"I don't like the attention, Miles," I reply looking out the window on my right.

"Fair enough,"

I offer him a small smile as he returns it.

I don't know where I'd be without Miles, all I know is that I wouldn't be at school.

The morning flies past in a hurry and finally it's lunch time. My favourite time of the day.

What did Lucy pack for me today... I analyse my lunch bag on a hunt for my favourite food.

Yes! Steak wrap!

If I didn't have Lucy, I would've been starving to death.

I let out a small groan as I collect all the flavour from my first bite.

From the corner of my eye I spot my best friends, Rose and Lanney.

"Hey there Million Dollar Baby," I hear Lanney greet.

"Hey," I greet back with a small laugh.

"Heard Bad Boy's having trouble with math," Rose butts in "And damn is it funny!"

I laugh as Rose makes stupid faces.

"I don't get it dude," I say staring at the girl on the other side of the room and talking to my best friend, Joe.

"The only girl in this goddamn school that doesn't like me is that cute geeky girl,"

"Maybe because she's a geek?" Joe replies leaning on the table.

"Yeah, but in movies the geek has a huge crush on the bad boy, but her, she's goddamn tricky," I say before looking down trying to think.

"Like ou-" I was cut off but a sudden scream.

"Alec!!" Arghhhh Tina.

"Eeeek!"

"Hey Tina," I say smirking.

"Hey baby," she replies sitting on my lap and starts making out with me.

Tina is schools top bitch and also the richest. And damn is she hot! But she's hella annoying.

All eyes were set on the 'couple' making out on the other side of the room. All eyes except mine.

Whispers echo around the room like a murder had just happened. I just kept eating my wrap keeping my gaze off of them.

"Name 3 problems, 3,2,1 go!" Rose says sitting back down and making disgusted faces.

"They keep eating each other's faces, they need a room and Alec has eye problems," I say still eating my wrap.

"Yes, yes and what?" Rose and Lanney say in unison.

"He won't stop looking at our table," I say looking up at them.

"Why would he look at us? We're nerds-"

"Geeks," I correct Rose.

"Right, geeks. As I was saying, no one would wanna look at us, we aren't 'normal' like everyone else in this school." Rose finishes.

"True," I reply "but we are technically the only bitches that aren't swooning over Bad Boy."

"Shes right," Lanney chimed in.

"True," Rose replies.

"Well, I'll see you two after school," I say getting up and swinging my backpack over my shoulder, "my house, cake, candy and popcorn?" I ask before walking away. "Yes please!" They both say with wide grins on their faces.

"I'll call Lucy to prepare, so when we get to my house it'll all be ready," I say digging my phone out of my pocket and dialling Miles' number and making the order.

"Lyrical," Rose asks when I hang up the phone, "can I have Miles and Lucy?"

"No." I reply walking away.
