I was woken up early in the morning by the dinner lady trying to wake y/n to ask what she wanted for breakfast
"excuse me young man, do you know what's shed like for breakfast?"
I look up at her "she'll probably like (favourite breakfast) if that's ok?" she writes it down, smiles at me then leaves
After she left I retracted the bed back into the chair, pulled my laptop out and started making the plans, I know she loves the beach during sunsets so I'll take her there, I then went to find her favourite food place so I knew where the closet one was. I then messaged the old hag about the fidget toys and asked her to wrap them for me, thats when she woke up
"oh your awake already" she said smiling at me, i smiled back and shut my laptop
"yea, the lady came in asking about what you wanted for breakfast so you should get something to eat soon" i replied moving so im sat next to her
"how did she know what to bring?" She looked at me tilting her head in confusion
"i told her what i thought youd like. you like (favourite breakfast), right?"she looks at me shocked
"how did you know i liked that?" i was about to reply when a nurse came in to do her checks and right after her food came so i let her focus on any questions the nurse had and enjoying her breakfast
*a few hours later, its around lunch time now*
she was on the phone with All Might, he was checking up on her thats when my parents came in. i pointed to her on the phone so they both knew to stay quiet until she was off the phone she finished her call with all might 15 minutes later
"im so sorry mitsuki and masru, that was just my uncle checking up on me" she smiles with a hint of guilt the old hag assures her its fine and neither of them were bothered by it while they all start talking about how she was feeling and gave her the days work to keep her distracted. she got on with it right away and they left her be, they came over to me and handed me the days work too
"it was really nice of you to stay with her overnight son" my old man put his hand on my back seeing the tension i was feeling
"yea whatever....." i start flicking through the work trying to ignore what i was feeling
"shes got her headphones on if you want to talk about whats wrong" we all look over to her seeing her with her headphones on happily writing away
i sigh
"for once im a bit nervous" i continued looking through the work, my parents look at each other in shock
"What about? did something happen last night?" my old man seemed to get worried about her thinking something bad had happened to her
"shes fine shat has been since i got here, but i decided last night i was gonna.... ask her out...." they look at me shocked while the old hag gets excited
"really?? awwwwwh hes finally giving into his feelings" she trys being quiet but is still relativly loud
"oh shut up.... its not like ive never felt this before its just the though of actully trying after everything ive done im genuinely scared she wont say yes. to be honest i wouldnt blame her and id just leave it at that ive been an asshole since her ADHD diagnosis for no reason but im holding out for hope shes as forgiving as she seems" they look at me seeming at peace with something with the old hag crying a bit from joy
"i dont think youll have a problem son" I look at him and smile a little thats when her dad walked in
"hello!" he whispered so he wouldnt disturb her and walked over to us "how has she been?" he sat next to me
"shes be ok, theres been no sudden drops or signs of any other symptoms, there was a few spikes but that was all down to hyperactivity. she got enough sleep and didnt have any struggles in the night shes happy and as healthy as she can be" he places his hand on my shoulder
"thank you so much for staying with her last night if youd like you can go home with you parents and ill stay with her tonight" he looks at my parents and nods
"actually.... do you think i could stay just one more night? im going to be honest i dont want to leave but you need time with her too so even if not tonight can i come back and stay another night?" i look at him visably nervous
"absolutely! what if me an you took turns staying here? i stay here week days and you stay weekends until shes out and if i cant stay then you can come, how dose that sound?" i look at him and ...... smile, like a proper genuine smile
"yes!" i realise i was loud and look over to Y/N making sure i didnt disturb her "yes" i repeated but quietly this time after that we all got to talking i left to get her something shed like for lunch at some point and left her to the work i continued to talk to her dad and my parents. she tried to get someones attention to say she finished the work but we didnt notice too taken in the conversation about 10 minutes later i noted she seemed sad i went over
"hey you ok?" i sat on the chair next to her bed
"yea... i just tried to get someones attention and started feeling a bit lonely" she looked down at her work before her face lit up "oh! i finished the work, could you take this in with you tomorrow and give it to Mr Aizawa for me?" she smiled at me holding the work i smiled back taking the work
"did you remember to put your name on it?" i look down at the work
"shoot... i dont think i did..." She seems sad agian, i grab a pen from my pocket and write her name on it for her
"ill give it to Mr Aizawa" i put the pen back in my pocket and put the work in my bag
about an hour and a half passed and me and my parents had to head home i told her id be back tomorrow right after school and she was happy with it as i was gathering my things she sat herself on the edge of the bed, as i was about to leave she put her arms out for a hug, i walked over and hugged her
"ill see you tomorrow Y/N" the old hag waved at her
"i wont be able to come tomorrow but ill come the day after ok?" my old man smiled they both walked out waving her goodbye
"ill see you tomorrow idiot, ill bring you tomorrows work when i come" i smile at her and left
"bye bye kacchan!!!" She shouted so she knew i heard, i left the hospital already missing her and feeling oddly anxious
