A/n: Wow, I've been gone a while.
Anyway a few things have changed since I've last posted. I've graduated college, but I doubt that's something you'd care about, and I've got a job now. So things are a bit more hectic than I'm used to, but hey at least I still write stuff. Also this goes for all active stories, updates will be shorter but more frequent. Instead of my usual 8k-10k word chapters, I'm going to be cutting down significantly to 3k/4k-6k. This is going to be an average, but sometimes they'll be shorter since I'm trying to balance having a job now.
For once image IS mine.
In the dead silent night in the Metaverse, the Phantom Thieves had brought the climax to their first heist after a long hiatus.
To Joker it just felt so natural to him, it didn't matter how long he was away from his days of galavanting through the Metaverse. How his body just knew what to do, what weak points to strike, and what fights to avoid. It was just an all around amazing feeling for him.
He peeked a corner, and saw that it was mostly clear.
A single patrol of Shadows numbering at three were a fair ways off and were stationary for the moment.
"Something the matter?" That was Ace's voice speaking through Oracle's support.
"We've got some roadblocks." He replied.
"No we don't."
Before Joker could ask what he meant, Thanatos Picaro had come down onto the patrol. The Persona had ripped the first Shadow he had come into contact with in half, and then moved to deal with the others.
Joker sighed, then immediately moved to help, but to his surprise Ace had back up.
Queen was the one who fought alongside him, her fist struck the still reeling Shadow before it could manifest into its true form. The Shadow simply crumpled then vanished as Queen's fist went through its mask and head.
Joker shuddered a bit, but he was thankful that she was on his side.
"Told you." Ace beamed.
"You sure did, Ace." Sophie was quick to add.
"Don't encourage him." Joker mock scolded. "Ace, you're not being a very good role model to Sophie."
The other Wild Card acted hurt. "I work my butt all day to provide for this family, and this is the thanks I get?"
"Ha. Ha." Oracle brushed past the two Wild Cards. "C'mon people, we're on a deadline here."
Joker refocused himself, and eyed the tower in the distance. The massive keep that stretched into the sky, that was their objective he couldn't forget that. Every moment they spent away from it was another moment lost, if they couldn't take back those desires within the night then it would have all been for nothing.
Joker pulled his glove taut. "Let's move."

"There." Ace said, his arm outstretched to the keep, they had gotten significantly closer to it in under 30 minutes. The landscape had changed since the last time they had been here. The gate that they had spent so long trying to force down had seemed to have been broken off its hinges, and he could see carnage all throughout the city that he was sure wasn't caused by them.
He didn't like this.
"Ace?" Sophie tilted her head at him.
"What is it, Sophie?"
