The last thing that was known was the scent of curry, laughter, and tears.Something good had happened.
"No!" He gasped, pushing his hand. Bound, all of him bound. He struggled, these coils wrapping around him, suffocating him.
Please, don't struggle anymore.
A coil moved to cover his mouth. He sank his teeth into it, he tasted metal from either the coil or his own blood from biting into metal.
You'll be thankful when it's over, so please don't wake up again.
The coils pulled him deeper, sinking into a writhing sea of metal and neon.
Your beginning isn't far enough for you, (Y/n).
(Y/n).
(Y/n).
(Y/n)!
Dull eyes refocused, the interior of the private plane becoming less blurry as the male looked to his companion.
"Sorry...I dozed off." (Y/n) said.
"Jeez, here I was thinking you'd be too uptight and wound up to relax." His chaperone, Kotone Shiomi leaned into her seat, her long brown hair bouncing as she moved. "Figured you'd be a little nervous."
"Why would I be?" (Y/n) sighed. "I'm your tag-along."
"You're my partner for this case." Kotone beamed.
"Yeah?" (Y/n) deadpanned. "So how come you're the one doing the investigating, and I'm stuck playing high-schooler?"
"(Y/n), you know why." Kotone's voice was soft. "You can't even manifest your Persona fully."
"Yes, I can." (Y/n) defended.
"You can manifest Thanatos." Kotone amended. "But you can't control it." Kotone placed a hand on the male's shoulder. "You can use two Personae, that's a Wildcard ability, but if one Persona is a dud and the other is a wild dog, you won't be much use to anyone."
Kotone didn't like being blunt, but sometimes people needed to hear the unfiltered truth. She learned that much from developing her bonds.
Kotone watched as (Y/n) tried to seem unbothered by her words. "We're landing in a few minutes, why don't you go change? That new school's uniform you're going to seems spiffy."
"Whoever's idea it was to leave before dawn so I could immediately attend this school was a jerk." He said as he grabbed a bag from overhead, then headed to the facilities.
Kotone hoped that this wouldn't be too difficult, oh who was she kidding? She was a fully powered Wildcard with tons of experience, she'd be able to find the cause of these mental shutdowns with ease.

"Alright, settle down." A woman in the middle of her life spoke, unruly curly brown hair framing her unenthusiastic expression.
(Y/n) had to fight not to yawn looking at her, the early morning flight had taken a lot out of him. Now he was being introduced to a class of strangers.
"I'm (L/n) (Y/n), I just transferred here from Tatsumi Port Island." He introduced, trying His best to sound normal.
He could hear murmurs and whispers. "Is that the transfer student?"
"He looks normal."
"Wasn't he supposed to be a criminal?"
Excuse me, what?! Did he miss something?
