(Disclaimer: I am not sure how LSU does their graduations I am just going off of how my school does their graduations)
Summary: Joe said he wouldn't be able to make it to your graduation but little did you know he was planning on surprising you

Today was the day I have worked so hard for. I was going to graduate with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I was so excited to be done with all of the lesson plans, staying up all night to study, and endless coffee infused nights. However, I am going to miss Saturday College football games, going out till 1 am on a Thursday night knowing I have student teaching the next day, and all of the friends I made.
It was a day I have been waiting for since I got here at LSU and it's finally happening. The only thing was my boyfriend Joe Burrow could not make it due to practice before a big game tomorrow. Which I totally understood, I knew being with a NFL player would mean him missing out on things just this once I wanted him here. I was in my college house with my other friends who are graduating and getting ready for today when I get a facetime call making me smile seeing Joe's name light it up.
I squeal and answer it and set it up for me to talk to him while I finish my makeup "Hello my beautiful girlfriend who's about to graduate" he says making me blush and look at him "Hello my handsome boyfriend who's about to play in a big football game tomorrow" I say making him laugh. I smile putting on the rest of my lip gloss and then I pose "Whatcha think?" I ask posing showing him my curled hair and makeup. He chuckles at my pose "You're absolutely gorgeous babe, even though you don't need any of that" he says.
I roll my eyes at his super basic response and get up to put my dress on. It was the perfect white dress with one strap and some ruffles at the bottom.

I then step back into frame and show him and he smiles "Beautiful babe, listen I gotta go but I will call you after you're done ok?" he says and I smile nodding grabbing my phone "Yeah, wish you were here" I say and he pouts a bit "Me too, but I love you and I'm so proud of you" he says. I smile and blow him a kiss before hanging up and put on my shoes as my friend Mckenna walks in "Was the Joe?" she asks and I nod pouting putting on my earrings "Awh babes, you know he'd be here cheering the loudest out of us if he didn't have practice" she says and I smile nodding.
-After the ceremony-
I had just thrown my graduation cap and am now looking for my parents in the see of people. I then spot my mom and smile running up giving her the biggest hug "Awh Y/N we're so proud of you honey" she says hugging me back making me smile as I hug my dad as well "Congrats kiddo" he says and I just smile and then take pictures with my friends and eventually my mom gets pictures of just me and my degree.
I smile standing there when I feel a hand go around my shoulders making me look at who it is. What I wasn't expecting was to see Joe standing next to me with his arm around my shoulder. I scream and wrap my arms around his neck as he laughs picking me up hugging me. The tears eventually fall down my face as I squeeze him tighter "What are you doing here?!" I ask pulling away as he smiles wiping my tears being careful of my makeup "They gave us today off so I got to come here and watch you graduate" he says and I smile leaning in kissing his lips so happy to be with my boy. I pull away to keep it PG around my parents and then turn them "Why don't you and Joe go spend time together before we go out to dinner" my mom says and I smile hugging her and my dad again.
I wait for them to leave then turn back kissing him more "If we leave now we have the whole house to ourselves" I say and he laughs "Ofc, we gotta celebrate you graduating" he says making me giggle as we leave to his car and spend the night celebrating my graduation.
