Aengus slowly began to stir from his slumber. He moved his hands up above his head, stretching, but stopped when he didn't feel the soft leather of his seal companion.

He sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He began to look around him, taking in his surroundings. He noticed how the TV was off and how he now had a warm blanket over him.

'So it wasn't a dream.'  he thought to himself,

He slowly stood up from his resting position and went to check the time on his phone,

    11:30 am

It was almost afternoon and he had yet to do anything to make him tired for more naps, so he went up to his room, threw on some clean clothes, grabbed his leather's purse and he went out the door.

He began walking on the black rock beach, looking for interesting beach finds to give to his mother and older sister. They were kind of against him taking this job, not being around civilization for long periods of time has driven past keepers mad.

But the pay alone was enough for him to fly out here, so every week he sent them notes there or little gifts, to let them know he was in a sound mind and not dead on the beach.

While looking for something, he saw a weathered looking conch shell. It was covered in barnacles and was chipped in some places. He grabbed it while inspecting it, expecting for something to pop out at him., but he found a folded piece of paper in a ziplock bag.

He pulled the small bag out of the shell, pulled the paper out and opened it. On the paper was a doodle of a chunky seal with a smiley face. He began to look around, thinking someone was watching him and pranking him. But when he saw nothing, he relaxed. He smiled while looking at the drawing, remembering his seal buddy.

He pocketed the drawing and kept on walking, this time a little pep in his step.
