Dear Freya,
I've finally arrived at Hogwarts! Let me tell you that it's everything that I've been imagining and more. The school is in this massive castle and looks like something out of the Lord of the Rings. You'd love it here. Scotland's pretty cool too, I never knew so much green could exist. I imagine the Cotswolds are pretty beautiful too. Please write soon and tell me all about it. I miss you.
You'll be pleased to hear that I have made some friends. Two boys, Harry and Ron. Ron reminds me of you, you could easily be his twin sister and Harry is, well, Harry. Did you know, he is actually famous in the wizarding world. I suppose you wouldn't know that, hehe.
Remember that dark lord I told you about, well, Harry is the only known person to survive the killing curse and he's apparently the reason the dark lord is dead. Though some say he's not really gone. That's a creepy thought I don't think I'll dwell on too much.
You know what else is creepy? On my first night here I was looking out the window when I saw a phoenix, an actual phoenix! However, it disappeared before anyone else could see it. I only knew what it was from reading this book about magical creatures over the summer. It's crazy to me that everything we thought to be mythical is true. I wish you could see it all, you'd have a field day.
Please write soon. I understand sending letter by owl might be a weird thing to wrap your head around, but Penelope won't bite...most of the time. Let me know all about your new life, I am desperate to talk to you!
