Laura
"FUCK," I hissed as the throbbing in my shoulder wouldn't stop. That lady fucking attacked me! I still can't believe she took it that far tonight! The only thing that brings me back to reality is the fact that I have a shoulder that won't stop feeling like someone was burning me with a torch! I keep contemplating telling my parents. She's Nicky's mother. And I don't want Nicky and his dad stressed out more than they already are. But let's get one thing straight! ¡No permitiré que nadie me agreda! Man or woman!
On top of this, tonight, I witnessed this woman attack a man. He wouldn't conform to her desires for her son, damaged his car because he was trying to distance himself from the situation, and now she was attacking me for helping her son escape a toxic situation.
The only reason I didn't call the police was because they were already here. Two police cars pulled up close to where the Pastor stopped his vehicle after the rock hit. Due to Nick's mom's screaming, people began to gather to see what the commotion was. I wouldn't have been surprised if someone had called the cops before the man did, considering all the noise this woman made.
I didn't know what to expect when Nicky's mom left the house. Suddenly, she began screaming and blocking the man from getting into his vehicle, which started this ordeal.
This lady is fucking unhinged!
I felt relief and dread as I saw an officer approaching in my sideview mirror. But an additional sense of dread followed immediately after.
"Hey, ma'am," the officer called out, indicating it was time for me to share my account of this chaotic night.
But should I recount what this woman had just done to me? It's Nicky's mother, for fuck's sake. At this point, anything I'd say threatens to go public, which will not end well for Nicky. She's already caused enough public embarrassment.
"Can we talk for a moment?" she asked in a soft but assertive tone when she reached the side of my car. "I assure you, you're not in any trouble."
I glanced at the other officer who was knocking on Nicky's door. "How did you get that nasty scrape?" She inquired, causing me to snap my head back to the first officer. She had noticed an injury on my elbow that I hadn't even realized was there, given the shock I was still in.
Dammit. Nicky's mother is definitely in deep shit!

"Let go of me! I haven't done anything! I want my son saved," Mrs. Benton screamed as she was escorted out of the house in handcuffs. People looked on as she unwillingly kicked her way to the police car. Then Nicky walked out soon behind her, stopping on the porch.
"NICKOLAS!" Nicky looked at me, exhaustion on his face as he began to calm down. Was he restraining her all this time? Because he looked beat up and battered, too.
I walked over to Nicky quickly to assess what had happened to his face! I cupped his face, noticing the slightly darkened bruise on his cheek. Adding to all of the shit this lady has caused tonight, she beat up her only son!
"Nicky..." No answer. Nickolas' eyes narrowed on Ms. Benton being lowered into the police car. Her loud protests continued within the police car. I guess the insolation can't mask an unhinged screaming and banging crazy lady!
"Are your parents here yet, Laura?" Nicky asked calmly as he looked on.
"No, I don't want to involve them in this," I assure him. "Your mother is in enough trouble-"
