Drew's POV
I wake with tears leaking dawn my face like every morning, but my mother is never able to help me eny more.
I sit up in bed and whisper to no one
"Mkay"
it's the norm for me ever since my mother died.
No one can help me with my nightmares,
No mater where I sleep, haw meny Teddy's I have or if my father sleeps with me I still get them every night and there always the same thing.
A recap of my mothers death on replay, the same dagger plunging deep and the same sad week voice whispering in my ear with the last breath from the beautiful blond head on my lap
"You'll be ok pumpkin, be strong,
Mkay?"
I always wake right before I whisper mkay back
So every morning after my horrifying dream that scars me every day, I whisper
"mkay"
It only seems like the right thing to do, because I always would say that to my mother.
"mkay" Is the only thing I've said in seven and a half years.
We'll except for one time when I swore after stubbing my toe on a chair, but that's different.
I slowly crawl out of bed and over to my bathroom, I brush my thick jet black hair, put on a hat, my black skinny jeans, button up my red-shirt and head down the stairs.
Once I walk in to the kitchen I see my dad bent over his work papers like always, working on things.
Really he doesn't need to work eny more, were really well off, but ever since my mom died he became attached to his work like supper glue.
He doesn't even raise his head as I walk in to the room he just mutters a simple
"Hey"
I nod in acknowledgement.
I walk to the door grab my leather jacket then shut the door behind me and hop on my motorcycle and head off for the first day of school this year.

At school

I take of my bike helmet and look around.
I can see the populars running to great each uther and tell about there exiting summers, then there's the geeks talking at one of the picnic tables, the cheer leaders, the jocks, the emos, the hippies, the newbies and the grate old bad guys standing in the corner trying to look all cool and threatening.
I sigh when I remember I'm supposed to be one of them, so I pop out my Kik stand hop off my beloved bike, put on my emotionless face and start to make my way over to a quiet treed area.

I sit under a shady maple tree and play with the dandy lions by my feet, I notice like every year that all the kids in my school are trying to avoid being near me or looking at me in general.
Sigh, not much different from last year or the year before that.
I'm used to being lonely, not even my fellow bad guys try to befriend me, but I don't really mind much,
being by yourself has its perks tho,
like you can make these awesome fluff hills out of dandy lion fuzz that I'm doing right naw.
I'm in a motion where I pick the dandy lion, pluck the dandy lion, drop the dandy lion, repeat.
I reach for one more dandy lion only to find that they are all gone,
Hmm I swear I had one more.
Just as I'm about to stand up and walk away a small but firm hand holds out 3 big dandy lions to me.
My eyes trail up the hand to the persons face only to gasp aloud when I see the owner of the dandy lion.
My heart flutters and sores only to come crashing to the ground with a big smash.
The long blond hair
The tiny freckles
And the small dimple on the right side of her face.
I thought it was my mother.
As I look over the person one more time I realize my mistake, this person in front of me has more a golden shiny, dirty blond collard hair that looks really soft, compared to my mothers light yellow almost white curly hair.
She has way more freckles and her skin tone is much more tan then my moms fair collard skin,
And her eyes are not bright blue like my moms were, they are a gray with small swirls of blue that hold so much deep emotions that it's kind of frightening and intimidating.
She smiles and ignores my intense stare as she opens my palm and places one of the dandy lions in my hand.
As her hand touches mine I have to restrain myself from grabbing her and holding her forever and ever.
I shake my head at the stupid cheesy idea.
Gosh she must think I'm a freak for staring at her like this, I quickly look dawn at my shoes and start plucking the dandy lion.
To my surprise she starts plucking one of her own as she leans her back on the maple tree, she slides closer to me so that the dandy lion fuzz goes in the same pile.
I can feel the heat radiating of her.
I watch her out of the corner of my eye and I can see her smile to her self as she plucks her dandy lion then she looks up at me and we both gaze at each uther, her eyes captivating mine, I brake the stare down as I look back at my dandy lion.
When we are out of dandy lions she turns to me with a dazzling smile on her face as she says one word that changes my life forever
She holds out her hand and says
"May"
Her voice is so soft and understanding in just one word.
I hesently put my hand in hers and shake then bring it back to me as fast as possible after I feel the sparks.
She smiles a huge victorious smile up at me as she says
"Do you want to be friends?"
I think my heart stopped.
