Drew's POV
I walk at an abnormal human speed over to where the jocks are harassing MY May!
Or, um, not my May, but, ummmm,
Never mind.
They are walking in circles around her like a pack of hungry predators looking for there next meal.
Once I ran across the field and over to where they were I stopped dead in my tracks as I listen to what they are jeering at her.
"What's wrong May, you upset that Mr.lover boy isn't here to save you?!"
They were all laughing like crazed hyenas
"Sooo where's your boyfriend May?"
"Oh right, I remember naw...."
"He dumped you!"
She has a boyfriend?
I can't lie and say that my heart didn't just break.
I thought it was kinda creepy haw they could finish each-others sentences like that to.
Just then a group of popular girls came up to her.
"L.O.L"
"Ok look at this girls"
That was the leader of the populars
"Poor, poor, May"
"She has no hope in a love life!"
"I mean, come on if you get rejected by the schools low life bad boy then there's no way any uther guy will EVER take you out"
This was all the leader talking
"Your such a looser"
She finished of her rant by looking over Mays body with a look of distaste and a big fat scowl.
I can see that May is trying to be strong but haw could eny person go threw that without feeling crushed?
No one should ever be bullied.
Time to do something,
I hope this works.
As I walk in to the circle everyone grows silent as they stare at me with bulging eyes.
I walk to the senter of the group and look down at May as she cowers away from me and every one ells.
Why would she be scared of me?
I think I see a small tear almost fall but she quickly hides it by lowering her head and avoiding my gaze.
To comfort her I put one hand gently on her shoulder and raise her chin with the uther so she's looking me in the eyes.
Her face is soft and smooth and her tan skin shines like the sun, instantly brightening her freckles.
I can't help but think of haw beautiful she is.
I give a small reassuring smile as I move my thumb in a circular motion on her chin.
I turn to glare at all the surrounding people.
They cower at my stare.
Cool.
I growl as I slowly look around the group trying to find my victim,
then I do.
He's trying to hide behind one of the air head jocks but I can't miss that mop of curly blonde curls eny where.
I'll never forget that crazy kid.
I drop my hands from May and instantly feel cold and empty but I ignore the weird feeling.
I walk towards Ace with determination and a scowl on my face,
Once he sees me walking his way he makes a run for it but I'm in a mode where I turn half gladiator half ninja so it's impossible for him to escape me.
I grab the back of the collar of his school football jersey and pull him right to me in one fluid motion.
His and my eyes grow wide at haw awesomely awesome that was, then I turn back in to gladiator mode and glare at him.
I try to be scary and use my deepest voice but I end up having the beginning of my sentence just sound like a grizzly bear growling mixed with the squeaky creaky sound that is my voice.
My voice starts of scary with a hint of a low throaty growl "STAY.AWAY.FROM.MY.MAY"
I got a little bit of spit on his face because of the closeness but I don't care.
I think he peed his pants too.
I think we're all good, and he got the message.
I'm pleased that just that one sentence is anuf to get tho point across and I won't be having to continue speaking.
I drop him then send a death stare at all the remaining people in the circle, who haven't already ditched there leader.
They take the message and run.
I sigh in relief and relax my...
every thing.
I realize all my mussels are tense and sore from being so shocked at my sudden act of awesomeness.
I look over at May and she stares at me wide eyed.
I look at my feet embarrassed that she had to see that side of me, then I look her in the eyes and whisper with a strain and wince, as if talking is painful
"May, What happened?"
She looks at her feet embarrassed then looks me in the eyes and says in a calm sweet voice
"I honestly don't know"
And I believe her.
or at least I would if I didn't see the pain in her eyes.
Wow she's a good lier.
But I'm not going to push it so I turn around and walk to my motor bike.
I've decide to skip the last bit of school and go some where I can forget about every thing.
My special place.
But just before I'm out of ear shot I hear May whisper a soft
"Thank you"
I smile and keep walking pretending that I didn't here her.
I smile a huge grin as I think of what an awesome Hero I am.
Once I sit on my bike I let all my thoughts and feelings out in my crazy half hour ride to my safe spot.
I can feel the fast wind blow away all my stress and calm me as it whips at my face fiercely yet calmly.
I can only think that this is what it's like to be free.
