Synthia arrived at the henderson's house, just when Steve and Dustin pulled up. She walked towards the duo as they were getting stuff out of the trunk.
"Let me guess. You didn't get rid of that thing." Synthia said, scaring the boys
"Wait, you knew about this?" Steve asked.
"Of course I did. Now where is that creature?"
Dustin led them to the shed and said "He's in there."
"All right, listen, kid. I swear, if this is some sort of Halloween prank, you're dead." Steve said, shining the flashlight in dustin's face
" It's not. All right? It's not a prank."
"Syn. Are you sure it was from the upside down?" He said, turning the flashlight to her.
"Get that flashlight out of my face before I stab you."
Steve turns the flashlight away and Synthia says "I know the upside down better than I know myself. That thing is definitely from there."
" You got a key for this thing, Dustin."
"Ok we don't have time for this." Synthia said before melting the chain off the door
" Let me see that." Synthia said, grabbing the flashlight and going in.
" He must be further down there. I'll stay up here in case he tries to escape." Dustin said
Steve started following Synthia with the bat. Synthia's hands glowed orange, with her powers.
"I'm sorry, Syn." Steve said and Synthia looked at him before he continued "I shouldn't have said what I did at the party."
"It's ok. I understand. Learning there's another dimension and that your sister has super powers is a lot."
When they got to the bottom of the stairs, Synthia turned on the light and saw the shedded skin. She turned to Steve and they both said "Shit."
" Steve? Synthia? What's going on down there?" Dustin said
" Get down here." Steve said
When Dustin got down all he could say when he saw the skin and the hole in the wall was " Oh, shit."
The next day Synthia, Dustin and Steve went out into the woods with buckets of raw meat to help catch this creature. Then Dustin started talking into the headset as they were unloading the car.
Synthia led the way as they walked on the old train tracks to the junkyard. Synthia was in deep thought as the boys were talking about some girl Dustin was in love with.
"What do you think about this, Syn?" Dustin asked
"Sorry, Dusty but I can't help ya."
"Why not?"
"It's not what I was made for."
"What? Giving advice?"
"Love, actually."
"What? That's not possible." Steve said
"I can't love. I was raised as a weapon, not a person."
They soon got to the junkyard and met up with Lucas, Andrea and Max.
"How did you get Max to come?" Synthia asked Andrea and Lucas
"Well being the cool older sister has its perks."
"Does she know about your powers?" Synthia quietly asked Andrea
"She will after tonight."
"Have you heard from Isabelle?"
"Last I checked she was with Hopper and Joyce."
"Well we'll need her if we're going to finish this, once and for all."
Steve, Max, Andrea and Synthia were setting up the old bus for their fight, while Dustin and Lucas talked behind a car.
"Hey! Dickheads! How come the only one helping me out is this random girl?" Steve said
"We lose light in 40 minutes. Let's go." Synthia said
" She said, " Let's go!"
The boys scrambled to their feet and followed the duo.
As nightfall came they got ready for battle. They heard a growl and Synthia said "Lucas! Max! Get down here now!"
They followed her directions and came down quickly. Just then Steve came running back in followed by the creature.
"God dammit, Steve. You're such an idiot." Synthia said as she tried to make a force field around the bus.
"Kids, away from the windows. Steve and Andrea, stay with them." Synthia said as she started to leave.
"Woah, woah, woah. Where do you think you're going?" Steve said
"I'm going to see an old friend."
"Synthia, No!" Dustin said
"What is she, crazy?" Max said
"Definitely." Andrea said
Synthia put a force field up over the bus.
She was fighting the monster when it suddenly ran away.
