I had just walked to the end of the street when a boy came round the corner. My breath stopped for some seconds. He was so beautiful. His skin was brown from the sun and his smooth brown hair fell free to his shoulders. He had warm brown eyes and a middle sized mouth with a bit shining red lips. He was maybe 1.75 metres high and his muscles were well trained. He walked with normal speed towards me. My heart started to beat faster than it had ever before. I had never seen nor dreamed of someone so beautiful till this moment.

"Are you looking for something?" his soft voice interrupted my thoughts abruptly.

"Um...um, well, I'm looking for a driving school. There must be one here."

"Yeah, I can show you where it is", he smiled softly at me and I followed him when he started walking. "Hey, what's your name?" he turned his head to me.

"My name's Rose."

"That's not your full name, is it?" he studied me through narrowed eyes.

"No, my full name is Rosalie Jane and my family name is Crowner. And what's your name?"

"My name is Juan Perreira. But you're not from Brazil, are you?"

"No, I'm from Boston, USA."

"Wow. My parents came to Rio some months before I was born. They grew up at the Awá Indians. My grandparents still live there. I visit them sometimes."

"Can you do the things the Indians do traditionally?"

"Oh, yes. I learned everything an Indian must know. It's nice to be in the nature. Or better with the nature."

"That must be really exiting."

"Yeah, it is. But when did you come to Rio?"

"Oh, just some days ago."

"Do you have some hobbies?"

"I play the piano and I sing. I like dancing a lot. But I never learned dancing. I always loved to watch break-dance and Hip Hop battles. But my mom didn't like that much. I also wanted to go to a Hip Hop school, but mom didn't allow. She said dancing isn't a job. And I wanted to do it professionally. Well, later I just wanted to dance, but mom didn't let me anyway."

"Do you still want to dance?"

I looked at him a little bit surprised. "Yes, I would like it very much. But why do you ask?"

"Well, you know", he smiled a tiny smile. "I dance in a Hip Hop group. We're five boys and we thought about a solo dancer, I mean a female solo dancer. We asked some girls, but they didn't want it really. We tried with some of that who said "yes" but they weren't good."

"Why do you think I'll be good? I have never learned dancing, I just watched some battles. Okay I dance for myself a lot, but I don't know anything about the rules."

"You... you just look like you can dance pretty well."

I laughed quietly. "And if I say yes, what will you do then?"

The corners of his mouth turned up and formed a small smile. "We have training in approximately half an hour. We can go there together and I'll introduce you to the others. I think they'll agree with me. I'll wait now till you arrange your driving lessons, I suppose you wanted to do that, and then we can go to the dance school."

"Are you sure the others will like it?"

"C'mon Rose. Trust me."

"I know you for not more than ten minutes. How can I trust you or the others you say you dance with?"
