It was half past four when I got home. I couldn't think at anything else but Juan. I wondered what marks I would get in school, if it would continue like that. I released I was quite hungry.

I went to the kitchen and made a sandwich for myself. After I had eaten it, I went up to my room and took some books from my school bag. I sat down at my desk and started repeating the few things we had learned at school today. It was hard to concentrate and as we hadn't learned much, I soon went to the couch in the living room and took my favorite book "Twilight" with me. I had finished it in maybe half an hour. Then I took "Fallen" by Lauren Kate and started to read it.

When the bell rang at six o'clock I ran downstairs and hurried to open the door for Diego.

"Hi, are you ready?" he smiled gently at me.

"Yeah, let's go."

We went to his car. It was a silver Honda Civic, the new model.

"Wow, you've got your own car!" he laughed half-heartedly, at my exclamation. "But you're just seventeen", I argued.

"Everyone drives here, even children who are three years old", he said with a smile. "No one controls it here. Too many tourists, you know."

We drove some ten or fifteen minutes then we stopped on a big street in front of a beautiful house. On the front door was written "Garcia's café/bar". We entered a big room with nice tables and chairs. In the corners were sofas and in the middle of the room was a bar with places to stand and places to sit on these high bar-chairs. At the back left end was the restaurant counter where two young waiters were chatting with a young and beautiful women. The most part of the back wall was made of glass and through it you could see the veranda with other tables and sofas. I thought this was the most luxury and most beautiful café I had ever seen. From the veranda you had a wonderful view at the ocean and the rain forest in front of it.

We walked to the counter and went behind it through the door. The two waiters greeted Diego and exchanged some glances about me.

"That must be the new one", one of them whispered.

"Yeah. Pretty beautiful, don't you think?"

There was a small room behind the counter. It was something like a dressing room. Four waiter uniforms were hanging on a hanger. Trays, plates, glasses, cups, cutlery and bowls were stacked on six tables. There was a glass door to the kitchen which stood open. Four cooks were standing there and cooking something. Three women were putting the food into the dishes.

Diego took two uniforms handed one to me and took the other one for himself. We put the uniforms on and Diego showed me everything together with the other two waiters. One waiter's name was Emilio and the other's name was Jamiro. They were very nice to me. Both were around twenty.

Diego's parents were very nice to me too. They also worked as waiters in the restaurant.

In maybe half an hour I was already working normally and mostly didn't need help anymore.

I noticed that some boys in the café turned around when I appeared from the kitchen. I tried to ignore them, but it wasn't very easy as they always turned to me and gave me smiles. After some three hours, at approximately nine o'clock, Juan appeared in the café. I was just bringing the menu to a small family and turned around, when Juan was standing just behind me.

"Hey", he said softly. I looked deep into his eyes.

"What're you doing here?" I was truly surprised to see him in the café.

"I...I would like to have a cola", he said with this perfect smile, I loved so much. I laughed silently, then I went to the bar and brought a big cola for him.
