"Students today we'll be handing out everyone a random hero who they will then have to make a report on," Mr. Aizawa says and begins walking around placing down papers on everyone's desk. You stare down at the paper in front of you ready to see who it is. Almost as quickly as you turn it over you drop the paper back on the desk. Your mouth hanging slightly open as you stare down at the name on the paper. "The Magician" it reads.
Eight years ago
"Daddy! You're home!" You yell happily running over to your father as he enters your house after a long work trip.
"Y/n my darling!" He yells just as happily picking you up as you approach him. He spins around holding you in the air, "I've missed you so much."
He pulls you into a hug and you wrap your arms around him tight, worried he'll run away again, "You were gone for so long that time daddy, I was scared."
"Oh no why was that?" He ask giving you a sympathetic look, he knew how hard it was for you to constantly be leaving, "Were mommy and Riku good?"
"Mommy was working too, and Rikus always a meanie," you pout pulling your head away to meet his gaze.
"Well mommy has a busy job," he sighs knowing this much be difficult for such a young child to understand, "And Riku is your big brother, it's basically his job to be a ''meanie' even though he really does love you," he says with a reassuring smile as he gently places you back down on the ground.
You raise your eye brow and look at him focusing quickly.
I know what you're doing Y/n
You break your focus suddenly and see him giving you a knowing smirk, "Daddy! You blocked my quirk, that's not fair!"
"It's not very fair to use your quirk on people like that y/n," he reminds you as he slowly takes off his jacket hanging it on the nearby wall.
"Whatever," you grumble crossing your arms and looking away.
He chuckles to himself and kneels down resting a hand on your shoulder, "Hey now kiddo, you can't go being a top hero if you're gonna get upset so easily."
"Also won't be a top hero if I can't use my quirk," you say looking over your shoulder at him.
He chuckles again and gives a slight nod, "Well I suppose that's true. But it also requires control, it's a balance you see-"
"Blah blah blah," you spin around cutting him off, "You just got home daddy, I don't wanna waste time talking about silly stuff like this."
"This stuff is im-" he starts but is cut off as you hold up your hand using your telekinesis to make him stop talking.
You giggle and release his mouth from your quirk, "I'm serious daddy, lecture me later. Let's have fun!"
He sigh and thinks for a moment before ultimately nodding, "Sure, y/n but only for now," he says and stands up picking you up along with him, "So what do you wanna do?"
"Anything daddy, I just spend time with you before your next mission," you smile clinging onto him.
"Understood, y/n," he smiles along with you and disappears with you into your house.
Present Time
"Now that you all have your hero, you'll get a week to research and write up a report on your hero. As some of you may have also noticed all these hero's are either retired or dead. So your purport should be something like a timeline highlighting their most important moments." Mr. Aizawa explains further and waits for everyone to nod in understanding before continuing, "Alright then if that's all you may go to lunch."
