Liam's POV:

"Scott please don't do this! we're family I'm apart of your pack!" Scott's hand still remained around my neck pinning me to the ground.

"you don't belong with us!" he spat, his eyes glowing red with anger as his face morphed into that of a werewolfs.

I laid there helplessly as Scott raised his claws, slashing them across my chest letting them cut deep into my skin.

struggling to pull out my last breath, I managed to choke out, "why?"

"we don't need another beta, we don't need you."

I woke up gasping for air, and holding my chest. I looked down to where the slash marks were, but thankfully there weren't any. "another bad dream." I said aloud as I slid back down into the covers. After a couple minutes I got up and walked in the bathroom to brush my teeth.

when I walked back out, I pulled on jeans and a hoodie, and grabbed my back pack.

"Liam!" my step dad yelled up the stairs.

"what I'm right here." I said as I turned the corner coming into view of him.

"oh okay. I was just gonna say don't be late for school. Have a good day." He smiled as he patted my shoulder.

"thanks." I spoke as I slipped my shoes on.

Sophie's POV:

"Aye, Sophie. it's time to go you gotta get ready." Malia spoke as she lightly shook me.

I sat up and stretched, and then went to get my clothes on. i felt like complete crap so I wasn't going fancy at all. I pulled on my Harvard crew neck, some ripped jeans, and my red vans. I put my hair up in a messy bun and grabbed my glasses, (which looked a lot like "nerd" glasses) I brushed my teeth and then went back out to Malia and stiles.

"Here's your purse and your book bag. Everything's in there, and so is your phone." Malia said as she handed me my purse and a black back pack.

"thanks." I smiled.

"okay let's go,"stiles said impatiently as he waited at the door.

Malia growled as she stepped past him. I just thanked him.

The school was huge, bigger than I imagined at least. Kids were everywhere. I could see the lacrosse field from where stiles had parked, and it looked big too.

"Okay, Liam is gonna meet you right here in a bout a minute. Just wait, good luck." Malia said and her and stiles walked off together.

they're cute...I thought, why can't I have something like that?

"hey." Liam's voice broke me out of my own thoughts.

"oh hey." I said as I smiled.

"first period is this way. It's math, and it sucks. But you'll get used to it." He smiled.

I nodded. "I love school."

Liam was quiet. After a couple seconds I looked over. His face showed pure astonishment.

"how?" he questioned finally breaking the silence.

I just shrugged as we walked. " I always have."

"well that's not human."

"and I'm not human I'm a werewolf." I said with a giggle.

He laughed along with me, and we continued to talk. seemed like he was in a better mood than he was yesterday. Soon, we arrived at our first period class, and went our separate ways.

"hi I'm Camryn, and I'm new." A girl spoke as she approached me.

She had long, light brown hair that hung down to her shoulder blades. Her style was edgy but cute, and she wore only a bit of natural makeup . her eyes were light blue with specks of green.

"Hi Camryn, I'm Sophie and I'm new here too." I said as I took a seat.

She sat down in the one behind me and continued to introduce herself.

"oh well maybe we can show each other around." she laughed.

before I could say anything else, class had started. I tried to grab Liam but a blonde haired kid named garret snagged him before I could.

"their food here is nasty." I said as I grabbed a apple from the fruit bar. "I usually eat a lot but none of this looks appealing."

"I know, that's how all schools are." Camryn explained to me.

"well man they need to upgrade or something." I laughed.

we both went to take a seat by Malia, Kira, Lydia, and some of their friends.

Me and Camryn got to know each other a bit more while we ate.

"yeah I moved here because my mom just didn't like my old school or my old county." She explained while she munched on some chips.

"oh I moved here to Beacon hills when I lost my mom, which was my only parent at the time, in a car accident. I first went to the other high school, but then my Aunt transferred me here." I lied.

"oh I'm sorry about your mom." she said with sympathy.

"oh it's fine. thanks tho." I smiled.

"hey Sophie," I heard Liam say from behind.

I turned to meet his eyes.

"after you go train with Derek, would you wanna go to a party tonight at Lydias lake house? Everybody will be there." He informed me.

I nodded, "sure."

"okay, I'll pick you up at Derek's loft."

"okay, see you then." I smiled as he walked back over to his table full of lacrosse players.

"Sophie, concentrate" Derek said as he readied himself again.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Everything around me seemed to disappear, it was just me and Derek. I lunged at Derek with all the power I had in me, preparing myself for a block or even a hit. I knew his next and every move easily blocking them. Finally I had him pinned by the neck once out of the 1,000 times we had gone over it.

"Sophie your improving really well, but you still need to work on a lot of things." Derek said as he walked me out of the loft.

"I know, tomorrow?" I asked referring to training.

he nodded, "yea, see you then."

I smiled and turned from Derek to Liam and got in his car.

"hey can you take me to Stiles's to get changed?" I questioned buckling my seat belt.

he nodded, "you know tonight is the night of a full moon right?"

"and what does that mean?" I questioned not really caring.

"Sophie your going to shift, and your going to hurt someone."
