ART COMISSION [Haikaveh]

3. Sleeping Princess

"It's 2pm"

"2 pm?!?"Kaveh shouted and looks around the apartment in surprise, with his eyes wide.
"Did I...sleep all morning?"

"Yup sleeping princess, I tried to tell you this but you keep asking me for a 5 minutes more. And it was supposed to be a q-"

"Sleeping princess--?" He break my talk "No, no no. We won't be using that nickname." Kaveh turns back to me, rolling his eyes. "And you're such a buzzkill for waking me up. Couldn't you let me stay asleep for a little bit longer?"

"How long? Till 5pm?"

I said annoyed by his behavior. He just acted so surprised of how long he slept. and now he's been telling me that I'm a buzzkill because I didn't let him sleep even longer?!

"Maybe 6 pm?" Kaveh grins, leaning against the counter as he waits for the coffee machine to do its thing. "Is that too much to ask?"

His voice changes suddenly as it was really something important. Maybe he was right. His sleeping schedule just doesn't exist. He sleeps 2-3 h a day drinking tons of coffee. Maybe I really should let him sleep as long as his tired body really needed?

"Okay okay. I'm sorry"

I said feeling quite guilty. Normally I would just ignore his talk but this time I felt guilty. I almost couldn't recognize my brain.

"Heh. It's fine."

Kaveh pours himself a cup of coffee, taking a sip of it before turning back to me.

"Now... what's this commission you want me to draw, hmm?"

"I want you to do me a sketch of me.. with you. We don't have a lot of photos together, so I wanna ask you for this"

I said trying to be not to obvious that I felt like I really need something personal from him. And what was more personal than an art of us made by him?

"Oh. Oh!"

Kaveh grins and his cheeks blushes a little when I mention the idea. He takes another sip of his coffee, thinking for a moment before nodding.

"I can do that. You know how to flatter me, huh? Sure, I can make a drawing of us together."

He said with a soft smile.

"I did flatter you? How cute."

I teased him again. I just loved doing this. Looking at him getting angry. He looks like a little puppy barking with his soft voice for a wolf.

"Shut up," Kaveh chuckles, blushing even harder. "It's not that big of a deal! It's just a drawing. I'm doing thousands of them"

He smiled even more sofly than before with a pretty blush all over his cheeks. He looks so cute right now... I came closer to Kaveh and gently touch his cheek.

"You're cute, Kaveh"

Kaveh makes a little sound in his throat as he leans into my touch, with his cheeks blushing even more.

Wait wait! Did I really said that out loud?! No no no. Alhaitam, put some control over your words and acts.

"Shh," he whispers, his face inches away from yours now. He doesn't pull back when the moment passes, leaving the two of us just staring at each other. I smiled.
