I might've not been thrilled about where things were headed, but I gotta admit, the guy's got good taste.
I'm not digging into how he nailed the choice of the cutest dress for our supposedly 'date' tonight. I won't bother asking because, frankly, I don't give a flying fuck.
The dress? A cute Bandeau cut-out A-line mini dress in Ivory. Still had the price tag dangling when I pulled it out of the bag.
Eighty-six bucks for a dress destined for a one-time show, and I can't guarantee it won't end up in shreds tonight. He's a troublemaker, but weirdly gentlemanly at the same time.
As promised, he left the suite a couple of hours ago, leaving me with all the time in the world to get ready for the night. I slipped into the dress, strapped on the matching heels, did up my hair and makeup, and then waited.
He was supposed to shoot me a text with the "go" time. While I sat there twiddling my thumbs, I tried to wrap my head around this whole situation again.
Everything's happening so fucking fast; I need a hot minute to catch up. Seriously.
Every time I tried to take a step back, he took two steps forward. Like we're doing tango or some shit. I can't deny that I'm physically attracted to Kaden because I am. I know that I am.
But now shit has changed and the fucker had a real thing for me now. Which was not part of our agreement.
No fucking attachments!
Did I not see the moment where he missed the fucking memo?
My phone pings with a text, and I grab it from my clutch. It's a message from the devil himself.
Kaden - Come down in five. Serenity Garden in Lilivy Bar & Restaurant.
That's it. No further instructions. When I turn off my phone and stash it back in my clutch, nerves hit me like a ton of bricks.
I've never been on a real date before. It's all new territory, and that's freaking me out.
Do I drop my guard and go with the flow, or do I play it safe and pretend everything's all lovely?
Well, screw that. Here goes nothing.
OoO
Lilivy is the name of the Bar & Restaurant in the hotel that Kaden happens to own. I spotted it when I came here earlier before meeting Kaden so it wasn't hard to make an entrance.
However, the attention that people had given me the minute I walked in was quite unsettling for some reason. I was used to getting attention all the time but right now, it doesn't sit well with me.
I should've been at home right now sleeping with my dog.
What the hell am I actually doing?
"Hello. Are you Miss Grey?" A soft voice suddenly greeted me and I turned to the side and locked eyes with a female steward with friendly eyes, blond hair neatly tied in a bun, and a cute uniform.
"I am," I replied shortly and she flashed me a smile.
"I've been informed to escort you to the Serenity Garden where we host our VIP customers. Mr. Diesta is waiting for you. Please follow me."
After giving her a brief nod, I followed her across the room walking past other customers occupying the tables inside the restaurant.
All the while, I caught a few lingering stares and glanced along the way much to my annoyance.
