One year later
"Absolutely fucking not!" I shout at my son
Let me give you some context for this screaming match.
After his out burst of not speaking to anyone, he's finaly started to calm down and speak with us again, but his attitude was still a never ending probelm and his disrespectful attitude hadn't stopped either.
He was still leaving when he wanted, coming and going at all hours of the day and night and having an attitude whenever he deemed it necessary.
Tonight though, expecting to have a relaxing night with the guys and my mate took a sour turn when for the first time ever, Kai came waltzing down the stairs of the cave with a girl, their intentions obvious by the way the girl behind him was giggling and holding onto him like she was about to get laid.
Which was clearly their objective but when they both caught sight of all five of us sitting in the cave, they both stopped dead in their tracks, the girl looking embarassed and ashamed while my son only looked agitated that we were here, as if he'd expected us not to be here.
"Why are you all here?" He asks, the unknown girl behind him clinging to his arm like a leech and it agitates me quickly.
"Uh, we all live here?" I say, pointing out the obvious, but he doesn't look at me or acknowledge what I'd said.
He instead looks at David for an answer to his question and I'm turning to our leader for clarification but he only stares at my son the same way he had me when we'd first met.
'He wants to blame me for this.' David mind links me without speaking aloud. 'He somehow believes that we'd be out feeding tonight and was planning to bring this girl here, screw her and leave before we got back.' He informs me and without looking away from him, my yellow eyes flare and I'm about to turn on my son and lecture him but Dwayne is at my side in a blur.
"No." Is all he says as he wraps his arms around me to prevent me from doing something I'll regret.
David's power was unmatched compared to the rest of us aside from Max and according to him, very recently Kai's inner thoughts had become very loud and it had become difficult for him to not hear a lot of the things my son was thinking about and doing.
He didn't even have to tap into his mind to hear what he was thinking and it only led to problems we couldn't figure out because in the many years David or Max have been vampires, they'd never met a human with such loud inner thoughts that required no mental manipulation to hear.
"Hello? Am I talking to a wall?" Kai asks us all, making my face return to normal and look at him and he's staring at all of us like we're the ones ruining his plans.
"Who do you think you're talking to like that?" Dwayne asks him, just as fed up his outbursts as the rest of us, and considering he was the calmest one out of all of us, it spoke volumes on just how bad our son has become.
"Well, clearly none of you since you guys all seem to be talking mentally instead of out loud so I can hear. You know, that's kind of rude considering I can't hear any of it." He points out and my fists clench in annoyance.
"We wouldn't have to if you weren't acting the way you have been." I snidly say, my anger getting the best of me as I stare at him, my son.
I didn't even recognize him anymore.
He'd grown and changed so much before my eyes and the little boy who used to love his mom and dad, crawl into bed with us and cuddle with me all day long no longer existed.
