Taylor POV

"Hello?" I answer my phone, holding it up to my ear. It's Friday evening and I am currently finishing the last touch-ups of my make up.
"Hey, Taylor, it's Karlie," I hear her familiar voice through the speakers of my phone. I can't stop the smile that spreads across my face, I have been waiting to hear from her. A few nights ago, is the night we hooked up. I haven't heard from her since and have been impatiently checking my phone constantly, hoping that she would reach out. I left the choice up to her, I wanted her to make the decision to talk to me if she wanted to continue this. I didn't expect to hear from her so soon, but my heart races knowing that she reached out.
"Hey!" I say, a little too excitedly, "What's up?" I try to take a deep breath, I don't want to sound like an idiot. She could be calling me to tell me that she doesn't want to see me again.
"I just got your number from Selena, I hope that's still okay," she sounds kind of nervous, but I can't stop smiling, "I hope I'm not bothering you,"
"No, Karlie," I reassure her, "You're not bothering me at all, I was really hoping to hear from you actually," I admit. For some reason, I spill everything to her. There is something about her that makes you want to tell her everything you are thinking.
"Oh, thank God," she lets out a small laugh, "I was kind of stressing about it for some reason," I move to sit on the counter in my bathroom, putting my full attention into our conversation.
"What's up?" I ask again, wondering what she was planning on saying when she called. I want to know if she wants to continue whatever this is.
"I was wondering if you would like to meet up?" The nervousness finds it's way back into her voice, "N-not tonight, I have a thing tonight. Maybe tomorrow? We can go for coffee or lunch, or something?" She slightly stutters, but I know my cheeks are probably bright red. She wants to continue this.
"Like a date?" I question, wanting some clarification. I don't want to think it's a date, if it's not.
"Yeah, actually," she confirms, "That's what I was hoping for. I would really like to get to know you better," my cheeks begin to hurt from smiling so much. I haven't been interested in someone like this in a very long time, I can't help but feel kind of ridiculous.
"I would like that," I answer, trying not to sound too excited, "I guess we aren't too good at one-night stands," I let out a soft laugh. I can't believe I thought I was actually going to do a one-night stand at first. I have never done that before, and clearly, it's not going very well in that aspect. I find her too intriguing.
"No, I guess not," she laughs along with me, "I have to go though, I am running a bit behind schedule," she speaks, and I know she has to be smiling too.
"I'll see you tomorrow then, text me the address and I will be there," I reply, ending our call. Just in time too, I have to get going, "Drew!" I yell for my daughter, we need to leave. She is going into highschool, starting Monday, something she is quite excited for. Tonight is her back-to-school night where she gets to meet her teachers and see where her classes are, so she goes in on Monday a bit more prepared.
"I am literally right here, why are you screaming?" She walks into my bathroom with me, she must have been in my room.
"We need to go," I inform her, rolling my eyes. She has such an attitude nowadays, it seems like her goal is to annoy me or frustrate me.
"You are the one who was on the phone," she starts to tease me, and I finish brushing through my hair, "A one-night stand? Meeting up again? I see you are getting around," my face instantly heats up, she was listening to my conversation.
