"It's probably something about Astaroth and Marikah again." Lucas said while looking over to Ezra and the others.

"Do you normally sit alone often? I asked.

"No, I usually sit with the others but Ezra and I had a little disagreement on something so, I'm just trying to cool off a bit.

The elders walked into the chamber and sat down. There was total silence for a few minutes, then one of the elders stood up and spoke.

"The men we sent to protect people have gone missing for the past three days. We know that they've been taken and probably killed by now by Marikah and Astaroth. We know this because they left a message
for us, taunting us about their victory. They claim that they will continue to hunt down and eliminate anyone who stands in their way. And apparently they sent their soldiers to hunt down a brother and sister who recently few to this state, This brother and sister have wolf and witch abilities. Their ancestors are one of the powerful wolves and witches we've known, so, find them and bring them to safety.

The room erupted in murmurs and worried whispers. The news of the missing protectors and the threat from Marikah and Astaroth weighed heavily on everyone's minds. The elders exchanged concerned glances before the same elder who had spoken earlier continued.

"We must act swiftly to ensure the safety of the brother and sister. They possess great power and could be valuable allies in our fight against Marikah and Astaroth. We cannot let them fall into the wrong hands. Now you all a dismissed, get ready and go find the siblings.

We all walked out of the chamber and Asher walked towards me.

"Hey, we'll have to cancel today's training since we're all going to go and find those siblings, hope you don't mind."

"Yeah, it's not that big of a deal anyway, I should go get ready before we leave." I said and walked away.

We got ready then Lucas created a portal, we arrived in the city and all of a sudden, I noticed that title girl again, I hadn't seen her for a while, and suddenly, I remembered the little girl saying "help her" before she vanished. But this time I saw her face clearly, it was my best friend lunar when she was small.

"Ezra, could I talk for a minute? I asked.

"Sure" he said and followed me to a private area.

"I've been meaning to tell you this, but it slipped my mind. Before this all happened, I've been seeing this little girl but every time I saw her I couldn't see her face properly, but the moment we arrived here in the city I saw her and I could see her face, it was lunar my best friend, you remember her right?

"Yeah, of course I do. But do you have any idea why you've been seeing her small version?

"Yeah, I do, I think that the brother and sister were after in Enzo and lunar.

"But they don't have supernatural abilities, if they did, I would sense it. Ezra said.

"You heard what the elders said, right, about them being blood related to powerful vampires and witches. They must have cast a spell that blocked other supernatural beings senses, so they wouldn't find out about them.

Ezra nodded thoughtfully, taking in the information. "That could be a possibility. It would explain why we haven't sensed their powers before. But if they are as powerful as the elders say, we need to find them before Marikah and Astaroth do."

"I agree," I said, feeling a sense of urgency. "We need to protect Enzo and Lunar and bring them to safety. They could be valuable allies in our fight against Marikah and Astaroth."

Ezra placed a hand on my shoulder, his expression determined. "We will find them, and we will keep them safe. Let's go back to the group and come up with a plan."

We rejoined the others, who were already discussing possible locations where Enzo and Lunar could be hiding. Lucas suggested checking the old abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city, as it was known to be a popular hiding spot for supernatural beings.

"Alright, let's split up and search the city," Ezra said, taking charge. "Lucas, you and Asher go check the warehouse. The rest of us will cover other areas of the city. We'll meet back here in two hours."

Everyone nodded, and we dispersed to our assigned locations. As I made my way through the city streets, my mind couldn't help but wander back to Lunar. I wondered how she had ended up with Enzo, and what had led them to this dangerous situation.

I pushed those thoughts aside, focusing on the task at hand. It was crucial that we find Enzo and Lunar before Marikah and Astaroth did. Lives were at stake, and we couldn't afford to fail.

Hours passed, and we regrouped at the designated meeting spot. Lucas and Asher arrived first, their expressions grim. "No sign of them at the warehouse," Lucas reported. "But we did find some clues. It looks like Enzo and Lunar were there recently."

"What kind of clues?" Ezra asked, his eyes narrowing.

"There were some spell remnants, and it seems like they were trying to hide their presence. It's possible they knew someone was after them," Asher explained.

"They're your best friends, right." Lucas said and looked at me. " Where do you think they'll go hide."

I stood for a moment, thinking where they would go to hide.

"I got it my old house, that's the only place we didn't check."

Lucas created a portal straight to my old house, so we would arrive quickly. We arrived at the house and I opened the door. Being there brought all the wonderful memories of my mom back.

Lucas noticed that I was lost in my head, so he came and held my hand. "You're not alone" Lucas said and looked at me.

There was no sign of Enzo or lunar downstairs, so we went upstairs. And to our surprise, someone came, and held a knife towards Lucas neck. I turned around to see who it was.

"Enzo." He looked at me with fear in his eyes, still holding the knife towards Lucas neck. " Enzo, it's me Makayla, your best friend."

"How can I tell if it's really you" Enzo said in a shaky voice? "Prove to me that you're Makayla." He said and placed pressure on the knife, causing Lucas to react in pain.

"Okay okay ahh..... when we were little, you used to have the biggest crush on me, and you would tell all your friends that when we grew older you would merry me. And they'll tease you about it every time I hang out with you guys." I said in a calm voice.

Enzo's grip on the knife loosened slightly as he processed my words. His eyes flickered with recognition and confusion. "Makayla?" he whispered, his voice trembling. "Is it really you?"

I nodded, tears welling up in my eyes. "Yes, Enzo, it's me. I'm here to help you and Lunar. We need to get out of here and find a safe place."

Enzo slowly lowered the knife, his hand shaking. He released Lucas, who quickly stepped back, rubbing his neck. Enzo looked at me, his expression a mix of relief and disbelief. "I thought you guys were the shape-shifters that nearly killed lunar and I." he said, his voice barely audible.

"I'm here now," I said, stepping closer to him. "We're going to get through this together. But we need to leave this house. It's not safe here. But where's lunar? I asked.

Enzo whispered a spell and lunar appeared. "I thought you guys were the shape-shifters so I cast a spell to hide her."

"We should get going before Astaroth and Marikah's men find us." Lucas said and created a portal to the warehouse.

Enzo nodded, still in shock. We quickly gathered our things and made our way out of the house and to the warehouse.

As we were getting ready to leave and return to Regardina, a group of dark figures appeared, surrounding us.
