It's been a week since the party and things have been going good at school so far. Cate's still friends with Emaline and her group but she's also friends with Lynn and her friends.
Today is the first varsity volleyball game of the season and Cate is playing. So after school she had tutoring then put on her uniform and put her hair in a ponytail with a ribbon. Her and a few of the girls on her team walked to the gym early to warm up 20 minutes before people came.
The girls stretched and warmed up hitting and serving then the rest of the team arrived. Soon after a bunch of people came to watch including some of Cate's friends.
Just as they were about to start the first set, Lynn Loud Jr. walked in. The Lynn Cate has secretly been having confusing feelings for this past week. Her hair was in her unusual ponytail and she was wearing grey sweats and a white tank top.
Shit, Cate has to stay focused
The set ended with Cate ace-ing them on the final serve and they continued to win the rest of the game. Her team celebrated and her friends went up to congratulate her.
"Good job, catey cat. Not that you're better than me though", Lynn said to her as she pulled her in for an awkward side hug (help-)
"Please, I destroyed you last week", Cate roller her eyes
"Anyways, can you come over tomorrow to start our science project?" Cate asked.
"Yeah, I'll see you then", Lynn said before walking away
Cate couldn't help herself but blush a bit. She'd never felt that way for a girl before. Lynn had just left Cate feeling so many things and ha no idea. Her friend Emaline ran up to her to talk to her.
"Hey Cate! Why are you blushing?", Emaline asked
"Oh my gosh, you so like Lynn! Bro thats so cute", Emaline jumped up and down a bit
"Shut up, I do not. I'm into guys", Cate responded. She was, right?
"Shoreeee, ugh that is adorable!! I'm ur number one shipper already", Emaline was more excited about this than Cate.
"Call me when you wake up and realize your in love, see you later", Emaline ran away excited
Cate was totally whipped.
Good job, Catey Cat was she flirting with her??
Cate had no idea but why did she kinda like it
Cate is totally falling for Lynn Loud Jr.
