"So where'd you say dad was?" Lorelei asks.
"Away on business." Emily replied.

"Location's top-secret?" Birdie jokes
"Oh, Germany."

"Germany. Is dad's firm insuring Nazis now?" Lorelei chuckled.
"Your father doesn't know any Nazis."
"I know, mom. I was just..."
"What?" Emily asks

"Joking..." Rory finishes for Lorelei
"She was joking." Birdie continues

"Oh. Hard to tell." Emily nods and continues to eat her supper
"Yeah, well..."

"Oh, I'm afraid I have some bad news..." Emily cuts Lorelei off "Claudia died."
"Who?" She asks
"Claudia, your cousin, Claudia. Claudia!"
"I'm hearing the name. I have no idea who that is."
"Claudia's your cousin, for all intents and purposes."

Birdie turns to Rory as Emily and Lorelei argue
"Guess what roro,"
"What?" Rory whispered.
"I went out with Tristan twice last week!" she squeals quietly.

"You did what?!" Rory gasps
"I know! I thought he was awful, but he's actually a really sweet guy and I think he's going to ask me to be his girlfriend!"

"Oh wow, that's great birdie! I'm happy for you"

The girls go back to the previous conversation and Emily turns to them.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, men have walked on the moon regardless of whether your mother remembers or not."

"That's the rumor." Birdie nods
"I know that. I just don't know Claudia." Lorelei starts up again

"So you're not going?"
"Not this time.

"I don't think Claudia's planning to die a second time." Birdie mumbled

"Mom, I couldn't go if I wanted to." Lorelei admits.
"Fine."

"Oh, wait... Rudolph gottfried." Emily nods
"Another cousin?" Birdie questions

"No, a Nazi we knew. I'd forgotten." Emily says and Rory gasps
"We stayed with him once in Munich. Nice old man... Interesting stories."

"Mom, you socialized with a known Nazi?" Lorelei looks horrified
"How coco Chanel of you" birdie mumbles and Rory snickers

"That's despicable! That's heinous!" Lorelei continues

"No, dear, that was a joke." Emily smirks and the girls giggle

Birdie was lying on her bed, thinking about Tristan when she suddenly got a call on her pink landline

"Birdie! Come to stars hollow please, it's an emergency"
"Rory? What's the emergency?"
"It's cinnamon!"
"Babettes cat?"
She asks

"Yes! She passed away and we're having a wake, Babette wants you there cause you used to watch cinnamon, she's really upset" Rory explains
"Oh, okay I'll be over in a second"

Birdie hangs up and jumps in her Porsche, starting the drive to stars hollow

"Babette, morey, I came as soon as I heard." Birdie exclaims as she walked into the wake and hugs Babette
"Thanks for calling me Rory"
"Yeah of course"
