All I long for
Is an embrace
All I long for is a kiss to the head
Or the nose
And all I long for is a hug
A warm hug that I'd never want to end
But those are things I may not have
Because I have no one
But part of me says I need no one
Because I've lived this long with no one
All I've had is me, myself, and I
And that's all I'll ever need
That's what my mind tells me
And it calls me a fool when I think
Something could work with another person in my life
'You're an idiot' it says and
I tell it
'I know'
But there ain't no stopping it
For all I can do is try to love and be an idiot
In hopes, one day, things will work
