i was obviously lying to myself when i said i would sleep , it was already night and nothing could be heard except for the wind .

I looked at Maria and she was sleeping peacefully there , i didn't want to wake her up so i decided to get up myself . it felt claustrophobic to stay here , i wanted air , i needed to breathe .

I left the tent and took a deep exhale , one deep breath was all i needed to calm down . the wind cold but soothing at the same time , i walked around our tents and i realised how many were there , At least thirty tents .

Sultan suleyman must have been protected , in the end he's the sultan of the world it was normal for him to be accompanied by many people .

I was wondering what my father and brother were doing now , were they alive or dead ? i just wanted to know what happened to them .

i stopped in my tracks and looked at the empty field infront of me , trees were moving in once way and the wind was hitting my face , my tears were ready to fall at any second .

I let my tears come out and immediately wiped them away when i heard footsteps next to me , i looked at the person who was coming and it was mustafa , the prince .

" Princess Sofia , you shouldn't be here at this time , do you need anything ?" He approached me with both hands behind his back .

"No i just wanted to come here , i couldn't really sleep" i answered and he smiled in a sorry way , he felt sorry for me .

" Don't worry we will get news very soon , your father is very dear to us" i knew that , he held a beautiful friendship with my father and their support was very meaningful

"Please princess don't think about it a lot , i promise i'll take you to wherever they are just rest » He comforted me and it was something nice to hear i needed someone to tell me that they were fine .

« How far is the palace ? is it gonna take us a lot to arrive ? » i curiously asked , i had to know how many time will it take them to get there .

« don't worry it's not gonna tire you a lot » i didn't give him an answer because i obviously dreaded to go there , it's not where i belong .

"How is it there .." i ask numbness filling my voice , he just chucked and looked at the sky .

" once you step there you'll know .. there is no place in the world like that palace . i grew up there but i wish i didnt" i was intrigued by what he was saying , i wanted to know more because of course it would be .

« Do you still live there ? » I asked him curiously and i regretted , maybe i was invasive .

« Yes i do , but i'm going back to manisa very soon » i didn't know how , i thought all princes live under one roof but i guess i was wrong .

« Why do you live there ? » i asked once again and he was answering everything i asked .

« I am the crown prince and i have to go to provinces and govern them so i can gain experience , it works like this » I nodded after him , we came from different cultures and it was way different here .

« You're scared to become the ruler or not ? » i asked but later on i thought it was wrong because it felt like i was urging his father's death .

but he managed to answer everything easily without thinking twice , this said a lot about him as a person .

« all i know is that i'll be a fair ruler , just like my father . » then i realised that he glorified his father so much , i think there they're strict when it comes to obeying your parents but for my case we didn't , we could say no and refuse whenever we felt like it

« I hope you do , best of luck for that i will send you letters in the future and see if you're still holding on your word » i jokingly teased hîm and he smiled agreeing with me .

« I think it's time for you to go sleep princess a long day awaits us tomorrow » he was right , i just came here outside to take a breath but instead i was here talking with the prince .

I had to get going and pray .. pray that my family is fine and that i will see them tomorrow .
i bid goodbye to the prince and went to my tent to get some sleep , i was hoping i'd sleep .
