Franks POV.
God, did he look hot, I thought to myself. No, I can't think that, I just met him. But it was true. I smiled to myself, humming to the music that was playing on the speakers (que song here). I grabbed the bin and made my way up front, going behind the register counter and setting the bin on the free space.
"Oh, Hi Gerard! I knew you were familiar somehow." I smiled softly, thinking of all the times I've noticed him buying CDs and Vinyls.
He perked up compared to when my boss, Bert, spoke to him. He immediately gave me a toothy grin. "I honestly thought you looked familiar too, but, to be fair you literally ran into me so I wasn't too sure." He spoke while sipping the coffee he had in hand that was from the cafe down the road.
"What does he mean ran into you? Frank?" Bert spoke in a slightly sour tone to me. "Yeah, Mom was, y'know, blacked out again. Did the usual routine and this time ran straight into Gee on accident. He walked me to his and gave me shelter and amazing coffee and was very nice to me, unlike you ever were." I spoke back, just as sour but muttering the last part. Bert and I had a past, and not a great one. He's my ex boyfriend, we dated on and off for many years. He would hit me and then kiss the black eyes he'd give me as if he never did it. He would yell at me whenever he wasn't high, and even then he'd be yelling at me. He was the reason I ever got into drugs. I needed a job though, so here I am.
Bert looked at me with a very angry look, rolling his eyes. "Yeah well have fun with this one 'Gee', he's a fuckup." Bert spat out as he walked away, leaving me and Gerard there alone.
"Is he always like that?" Gerard spoke softly, noticing my mood change.
"Unfortunately. Are you gonna buy something or are we gonna ditch this place?" I asked, looking up at the taller man with a gleam in my eyes.
"Nah, I'll come back when Bert isn't butthurt about how I'd rather fuck his pretty ex boyfriend then fuck him!" He spoke loud enough for Burt to hear. I assumed that him and Bert were close at one point seeing as how Gerard already knew. I let out a giggle and grabbed my backpack, leading the other man out of the store as I tugged down my sleeves more.
Gerard POV.
I walked into the music store that I went to every week, sometimes multiple times. It's owned by a old buddy of mine, so I figured I'd help out in that sense. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Bert. I rolled my eyes at him. I knew that Frank looked vaguely familiar but couldn't put my finger on it. Until I saw him, on his tiptoes putting away records until he heard my name. He stopped for a second, registering it before turning around and putting what he had left in his bin, bringing it up front after looking at me for a little to long. I wonder what was going through his pretty head. No, don't say that Gerard. You just met.
He ignored Bert and immediately turned his attention to me, "Oh, Hi Gerard! I knew you were familiar somehow."
I smiled softly at him once he started to speak. I could listen to him for hours.
"I honestly thought you looked familiar too, but, to be fair you literally ran into me so I wasn't too sure." I spoke as I sipped my coffee, that was probally a little to spiked this time. The cafe always made it perfect, but it was heaven when I put my own ingredient in.
"What does he mean ran into you? Frank?" I heard Bert spit out in jealousy. I looked at Frank and was about to speak until he opened his mouth first.
I listened to him recall last night and smirked to myself when he called me Gee. So this was THE Frank, I knew Bert had good taste in men, but damn. I know that Bert would hit him sometimes too. Last I knew, they were broken up. I hope that's still the case.
