Regulus just loathed the holidays, not because he hated festivities and gifts, but because he had to stay at home for a whole month. He hated consistently being lectured by his Mother — Walburga, and his Father — Orion.

Regulus sat in his room, his bare arms taking in the winter air, his arms covered in goosebumps. He didnt shiver, except, he just sat there in the cold. His father, who had no sense of peace and tranquillity, striked his bedroom door with his knuckles; sending a slight shiver down Regulus's spine, causing him to jump slightly.

" Get up, Regulus, you have a meeting today with our family. "
Orion's raspy voice boasted deeply through the thin door. Regulus slumped backover to lie on the bed, he stared up at the dark grey ceiling and let out a deep sigh. He hated family meetings — they always either made him feel like an outsider, or just belittle him for no apparent reason.

Regulus lay there for about five minutes before letting out a deep exasperated groan, before pulling his ragdoll-like body up from the bed, rubbing his eyes exhaustedly. He dreaded getting up so early in the morning for pointless meetings.
He managed to pull himself off of the bed, letting out a long yawn and stretching his entire body. He waltzed sleepily over to his dresser which Kreacher had prepared him some nicely folded clothes on top.

A while later, Regulus got dressed into a black suit and his favourite leather boots and some jewellery, he combed his hair and shook it slightly so it framed the sides of his face perfectly. A gentle but loud knock was heard on Regulus's bedroom door, it was Kreacher, Regulus opened the door to Kreacher standing there looking up at him with his usual gloomy expression.

" Master Regulus. ", Kreacher spoke, his voice was rough but at a quiet level. " Master Orion orders you to hurry up, everyone should be here soon. " Kreacher said, bowing his head slightly before returning to look Regulus in the eye. " Alright, Kreacher. You're dismissed." Regulus spoke softly to the house elf, nodding slightly in return to Kreacher's request. Kreacher bowed once more before walking off down the hall, muttering something to himself as usual.

A short while later, Regulus felt slightly queasy as he walked down the hallway of 12 Grimmauld Place, aka the Black Residence. Regulus took a long, deep sigh before walking around the corner and down the staircase, slowing his pace to slide his side slightly against the wall, hoping to catch a glimpse of the dining room before he entered. The room had a dim, moody atmosphere — he could sense the tension filling in the air as he brushed past the entrance and to the other side, hoping to hide somewhere so the tension would die down.

" Regulus. " A high-pitched murmur was heard, shit, he thought. It was his mother, he was caught. Walburga spoke once more, with a condescending, severe tone, " Get in here, I saw you sweep your way past the doorway, mister. I am not blind. " shit, shit, shit-, Regulus thought to himself once more, brushing back his hair with his slim fingers. He stepped infront of the doorway with a long stride, standing in the doorway for a moment, before walking through. He felt all of these eyes staring at him, piercing through him like a stake or a muggle knitting needle. "Sit", his mother bellowed, indicating a free spot beside her for him to sit down in. "We've waited long enough for you."

crap, here we go again.

"Regulus, you seriously need to stop being so difficult, you're starting to turn out like your brother. You are ....." Regulus switched off, not listening to a word of it, he's heard it all before. 'oh you are the only heir to the Black name ahh blablabla don't be another disgrace.. bl-'; "Regulus, are you even listening to a word I am saying." oh no.. "Regulus, what was I just saying..?" Walburga loomed over him slightly, waiting for a reply from the poor boy. "Um.." shit, what do I say...?

I think I might actually vomit..
