Peneople sat in the garden of her home with a book which might as well been blank it wasn't from the lack of trying to begin reading. Unfortunately, her mind was occupied. The memory of that ball Peneople mind remained on two things .. that dance with three gentlemen and Colin Bridgerton punching Lord Fife.. it was single handly the most bold thing anyone has done for her it made her heart lump in her chest. Her mind stopped her from believing it meant something more he couldn't change his mind, nor could she...

That ball was meant to be perfect she had changed everything only for Cressdia to try and influence dear Peneople why that witched cow couldn't leave well enough alone was beyond Peneople however it was the mere appearance of one Colin Bridgertion who had stamped on the night Peneople had hoped that by not responding to any of his letters would somehow result in the two becoming mere well what could one broken heart call the heart of someone who felt no heartbreak in their bubbled life.

As she tried reading her book but her mind whispered the words, "I miss you." his words made her heart beat quickly, just like a soft reminder of simpler times when Colin would say something sweet or give her a kind look also with a pity dance..but of course, before Peneople could aloud herself that beating feeling... his words of fantasy dreams would be a blow to her chest, leaving a reminder as always ... the fool.

After Colin unknowingly gave her months to think, one thing that distance did was prove that Colin was never going to love her nor would he stick around long enough for him to find out about her stupid crush but of course luck never found Peneople since Violet had informed everyone that Colin was going to be around this season but Peneople had a plan she intended to find a husband this season she had no choice even if she did not fall in love before marriage it would be for her sake and now as she noticed the lawyer who came to speak with mama it would appear she'd have to marry someone who would helped her family.

"Peneople " the sound of his voice rang so clearly as she looked up to find Colin standing in front of her in his riding clothes, Peneople exchanged a glance at her maid before looking back at him "Mr.Bridgerton what are you doing here?".

Colin stopped walking once he heard the discomfort in her voice deciding to ignore it. Colin stood straighter as Peneople's stare made him suddenly feel like he was back at university year 1, as he found himself standing uncomfortably in the Featherington garden he wondered if Portia offered Peneople the same help but when he recalled Kate mentioning the invitation from Lady Danbury to help Peneople seemed to make up his mind of course not.

Now that he thinks about it, Portia help wouldn't secure even a dance for Peneople if anyone.. having Danbury and Kate's help he began to wonder if he would be any help he didn't know about fashion for ladies, but he did know men and one thing was sure Colin won't aloud the likes of Fife or worse to tint Peneople in anyway.

trying to win her to his side, it would be a lot easier for them both if he was to help her, even if she would yell at him. Colin would follow her every word. After all, he was determined to fix what he did wrong since he hadn't felt right this year

"Peneople, will you please aloud me to fix my wrongs? " Colin asked again as he stood, wishing there wasn't such a distance from her. Peneople signed.. "Why did you dance with a stranger but refuse me? " He didn't expect that to be a question, but he wanted to know.

"you didn't return any of my letters it made me mad to think you were ill until my family informed me of your good health and now I return home only to realise my mess and i am truly sorry for my words" Colin demanded staring at her "it doesn't matter .. why do you care now? " Peneople spoke."You wish to find a husband, I shall help.. Kate mentioned Mr.Dankworth. "

"I don't believe the ton would think he may court me.... surely not in their wildest fantasy.. surely not fife's wildest fantasies " his face fell as he heard her words and the hurt that came with them his mind flashed to the last ball from the season where fife had asked if he was courting Penelope Featherington at the time he panicked and the likes of fife could never understand having a friend like Peneople or what it means to him.
