After the explosion of the student dormitory, Y/n was running with an unconscious Index on his shoulder after disabling the transmitter in Index's hood that she wanted to keep. He got to an alley while holding Index's bloody body as he stared at the dirty ground that he knew she couldn't make contact with. Especially, with her wounds being opened. Sadly he also couldn't call an abulance for her. Generally speaking, Academy City disliked outsiders. It's the reason there are walls surrounding it while being under constant surveillance by three satellites. Even trucks need and ID to park behind a conveniene store or it would be denied access.
Index has no identification. If she were to be hospitalized here, news of her would spread like wildfire. They were up against an entire organization, after all. If they were attacked in a hospital others would be caught in the cross fire and in the worst case scenario Index could be attacked in the middle of emergency surgery with no way of defending herself.

This time it was Index's normal voice instead of that neutral emotionless voice. Y/n knew she was lying because her wounds went beyond bandages. He always performed first aid on himself so he wouldn't have to explain himself to anyone, but thankfully he has the powers of the Sky Dragon, Grandeeney. He had only one hope, and he didn't believe it would come to this.
Y/n: Hey, hey! Can you hear me?
Y/n lightly slapped Index's cheek.
Y/n: I'm going to take you to someone I know that can help so please hold on!
Y/n began running in the direction of someone he hasn't spoken to since he was a boy. He got his phone out and began flipping through his contact list. There was Blue hair, Biri Biri, and finally the name he was dreaded calling, Gray Fullbuster, his enstranged Uncle. He called his number and waited for him to answer. Thankfully, Gray answered after the second ring.
Gray: What do you need, Y/n?
Y/n: I need your help, Uncle! Can I come over?!
Gray: *deep sigh* You're just like your dad, Y/n. Come by whenever you can.
