Ch.3

*Alex POV*

I try to reassure Taylor that i'm okay, but who'd believe that? I'm not, I was gone a year. Hell I don't even know where I was. All I know is that i'm in the hospital, weak, bone skinny, and look like i lost a fight with a bear or maybe not a bear. Taylor and Quinn stay beside me all day, they fill me up on what happened. I can tel there keeping stuff from me, but I don't press. 

"Quinn?" I ask. 

"Hm?" 

"Are you okay?" 

"Why wound't I be?" I glance at Taylor,  they understand, nod then make up some exuise to leave.

"Quinn," I say when the door closes behind Taylor. "I know that face, your not okay. Whats bothering you? And don't just say 'stuff'," I make air quotes. "be specific on whats bothering you." They try to avoid eye contact, but I stare them dead in the eye. 

Quinn's not okay at all. He's also skinny, covered in bruises, and doesn't look like he's okay. "Is your dad?" I start, even before i finished me sentence I new that his dad was part of the problem. Oh I could kill that man.

"Well- no your back thats what I want to focus on right now." Quinn says putting on a half fake half genuine smile.

"Okay," I say. "but this conversation is not over."

"I look forward to when it comes." Quinn said sarcastically as he leaned over and kissed my forehead. Right on time Taylor and Zara came in.

"Holy shit!" Zara said rushing to my side. "Your okay!"

"OMG ZARA!" I said super exited. I hadn't seen Zara in almost 2 years. She was taking meds to make her voice higher, and she looked so happy. "you look amazing!" I say.

"Oi watch it thats my girlfriend." Taylor said with a smile, and they looked relaxed knowing I was alright. 

"Sorry," I said snickering, I turn back to Zara. "Really, you look lovely." I say. Zara beamed and hugged me.

"I feel so good, and like myself," She said, then she turned to Quinn. "oooo i'm guessing this is your emo lover?"

"Yes, this is my fabulous boy friend Quinn." I said grabbing Quinn's hand. Quinn blushed.

"I wouldn't say fabulous." He said shyly.

"Don't even." I say. Then to ruin all the fun the doctor came in informing us that visiting hours were closed. We all said our glum goodbyes. And when all the lights were shut off, a shiver ran down my spine like something was larking in the darkness. I didn't sleep at all that night. I couldn't even if I tried. Some thing was definitely watching me. Probably the thing that took me.
