"IT HAPPENED, dearest readers, the Diamond of The Season has finally found her true match, and it is no one other than the Viscount of Bridgerton, who was in pursue for her hand for quite some time. We must congratulate him for his persistence indeed.
Remind yourselves that the queen will be hosting the event, and as a royal wedding it shall have no flaws to be noticed, or at least this is what this author expects, after all, Princess Bellatrix and Anthony Bridgerton are now the future of the crown.
Who would've known the Viscount would finally settle down after his experience as a Don Juan?
Matrimony. For once that particular wager is placed, it cannot easily be undone. A fact which, I am sure, is met with both regret and sheer relief.
Let us only hope, that all's well, ends well between the newcoming couple and the kingdom."
...
"It is not yet right." Anthony Bridgerton said to the tailor as he watched his reflecfion in the mirror. "See how the cuffs are an inch too short?" He instructed the man about the measures of his upcoming wedding suit. Even at that moment the situation seemed unrealistic.
"Very well, sir." The tailor poiletely agreed, bowed and left the Bridgerton residence.
Behind Anthony, his family was gathered around as always, displayed on the couches, pianos and chairs as a renaissance picture of chaos.
"There is plenty of time to adjust it to your liking." Violet tried to comfort her stressed son. "The wedding is not for another month."
"There is still much to do." Anthony said in a hushed and concerned mannerism as he walked to the other side of the room, trying to get some air from the wide windows.
"Will Princess Bellatrix live with us?" Gregory asked.
"Indeed." Violet smiled briefly. "After the wedding, she'll be the lady of the house and responsible for you all."
"Lord, help her." Colin joked.
But Benedict couldn't laugh. His mind still traveled to the night before, where his lips met Bella's and...and what? What has he done? He ruined it. Ruined everything. Now he would long for the woman who would marry his brother, and worse, start to live under the same roof as her. He'd have to endure watching her marry Anthony and be with him for the rest of his days.
Everything seemed to much for the artist to process, his head ached just as bad as his heart, and he could feel Eloise's eyes of disapprobal across the room. He didn't have a chance to reach her when she stepped into his illicit scene, and now he couldn't help but feel ashamed of being discovered in that situation.
"Which reminds me, our carriages must be polished to a shine, and the horses' manes braided." Anthony commented, already making a list of procedures. "We should bring out the finest silver."
His talking was already getting in his brother's nerves, and although Benedict should be thrilled about his first day at the royal art academy, be couldn't help but feel annoyed and jealous of the viscount.
"And what of us, Brother? Should we also be polished and braided for the big day?" Beendict teased with a sour tone but faking a smile. Eloise immediatly understood the gravity of the situation.
