Jungkook was sure about one thing - he hated to work in the daytime. His life was bound to the night. It was the time he worked, trained... lived.
He was putting up with the Sun only while watching movies, so why the hell did it have to shine so brightly on this very day?
If he wanted to work in the sun he would become a bartender in Hawaii, not a Seoul's Vampire Hunter!
It had been a long time since he was forced to get out of home on such a hot, steamy day when his t-shirt was gluing itself to his skin and he couldn't read people well, cause everybody hid his eyes behind sunglasses.
Well, he was wearing sunglasses most of the time no matter the season, cause it was easier to hide who he observed.
Besides, when the sun was up, enveloping everything in a furious light, the city was safe and Jungkook didn't like that at all...
It always meant the vampires would be balancing on the edge of fury. More dangerous... more out of control, more active, more frustrated... Desperately wanting to taste the heat-up blood in veins which they smelled through the sweating skin like a delicious scent of hot chocolate. Ready to have it on their tongues, feeling it is melting down their throats.
The more sunny days were... the shorter the nights were... the more vampires were ready for the feast without any table manners...
And he was chasing after a fucking rookie... He was so tempted to let go, but he didn't like to dodge.
And... yeah... maybe he was a tiny, tiny bit afraid Lalisa would fulfill her threat about starting to send idiots till he would trip on them.
And... maybe... just maybe... He had a bit of a hint... a strange premonition about that one name from the binder. There was something strange when he was reading those few short notes the recruiters got about that guy... Something was echoing in his head...
But he didn't have enough information...
And that's why I am fucking driving in this cursed sunlight... Oh wait... - he glared at the red light. - Let me rephrase it... I am STUCK in the traffic in this cursed sunlight - Jungkook thought, gritting his teeth - just to make sure my choice was right.
His phone started to buzz, pulling him out of his thoughts. He didn't like when the phone was ringing... Only a few had his number and he wasn't in the mood to talk with any of them. He peaked at the screen and pressed "Dismiss".
Lalisa was currently the first person on his list of people who he wouldn't pick up the phone call from at this moment...
Always, actually...
After an hour of traffic torture, he parked in front of a skyscraper similar to the one he was living in. He took the red jacket and red cup and wore it. He grabbed the pizza boxes from the passenger' seat and walked to the building.
