Chapter 21: Hunters vs Executors - part 2

Soobin was standing at the opposite side of the room where Yeonjun was standing. They both were silent from the moment Jungkook's boyfriend closed the doors. Yeonjun was fuming with anger, so Soobin was looking down feeling uneasy.

Yeonjun finally looked at him and sighed with regret. Soobin had to feel scared and shocked.

'I'm so sorry... We...'

Soobin lifted his eyes at him.

'You should go,' he said harshly.

'What?' Yeonjun frowned. 'NO! You shouldn't be alone! JK knows...'

'Where I live?' Soobin cut him off coldly. 'Yes, he does. So what?'

'Soobin! He is with vampires! One snap of his fingers and you are dead!'

'He doesn't need vampires for that.' Soobin reminded him.

'What's wrong with you?!'

'With me?! You haven't even let him explain! You just kicked him out of here!'

'What is there to explain?! He was one of us at the same time spying on us for them?! Who knows how many dangerous situations we escaped because he set it up!'

'Oh pleaseeee!!' Soobin snorted sarcastically. 'Let's face the truth! If Jungkook would want your death - You would be dead!'

'Vampires kill humans!'

'And you kill vampires! You are not that different!'

'How dare you!?' Yeonjun's face became pale. 'You can't compare a vampire and a human!'

'I can't?! They mostly kill when they are hungry. And guess what! People are much worse! They don't need a reason to hurt you! If they will feel like it they will torture you, kill you, do hideous things! And nobody ever forces them to do it. They are just twisted!'

'You watch too much tv...'

Soobin sighed.

'Listen... I don't really mind who is Jungkook's friend. I never asked him to show up here and bully me. But he did, and nobody ever voluntarily cared about me like that.'

Yeonjun took a deep breath, stopping himself from yelling.

'Do you know what vampires are capable of?'

'And do you know what humans are capable of?' Soobin chuckled sarcastically. 'I know it's supposed to be our first date, and you do not know much about me. But I do not trust people. I avoid them as much as I can because I am always afraid of what is under their smiling face. Jungkook never tried to be too nice to me and in my opinion he is too lazy to lie or just does not care about how I will react to the truth. I had a horrible childhood and adolescence. I lived on the street, I had met foes so sick you wished to kill them - just do not because they are "humans". I know that Taehyung can be as dangerous as all poisonous snakes! But Jungkook...'

'He can be hypnotized and manipulated!'

'Yeah? That's strange, because there was nothing out of the ordinary in his behavior. And honestly if a vampire would have these melting, star eyes when he looks at me, and follow me like Taehyung is following Jungkook - I would say "yes".!' Soobin opened the doors. 'Now go!'

'It's dangerous for you to be left alone!'

'Oh believe me! I am safest by myself! Jungkook took care of it! And! For your information - you wouldn't even be here if not his meddling. So - goodnight!' Soobin looked at the wall, ignoring Yeonjun, who stood next to him at the doors.

'If anything...'

'I have a job.' Soobin said, not looking at him. 'Jungkook needs help. As if you wouldn't notice he is pretty much busy lately with something huge.'
