Chapter 22: Nightshades

Yoongi saw Jimin walking alone through a narrow alley. His, usually cold, blood boiled. He was going to stack Taehyung's and Jungkook's heads on peaks! This guy was training for like 3-4 months!!! How could they just throw him on the street alone?!

He huffed and made a step at the same time Jimin picked up his phone.

'What? No!' he laughed at someone on the other side of the line. 'Oh, really?' The malicious cold words made Yoongi frown. And something flipped inside his stomach as well.

Anger. And annoyance. It had to be anger and annoyance - he convinced himself.

He walked angrily through the street when he heard someone's nervous yelling:

'JIMIN!'

He looked around trying to locate the danger and before a thought could even trigger it, his instinct already made him move faster than wind and stood protectively in front of Jimin.

Jimin's lips parted slightly. Oh, gosh.

What the hell is this hero entry?

Why does he look like some kind of knight with those black hair falling on his forehead, ready to tear apart anybody who would come across him?

Creepy fucker.

In the span of seconds Yoongi made a detailed plan on how to bury Taehyung alive, when he saw Hoongjoong stopping abruptly in front of him.

'Lord Min, what are you doing here?' Hoongjoong asked, confused.

Yoongi straightened up and looked at him coldly, at the same time Jimin said quietly to the phone.

'Yes. He is here. I don't know, Hobi. Mind helping me with a reasonable explanation?'

Yoongi fought the urge to grab that fuckin phone and throw it away and then probably grab Jimin also and wipe the mischievous expression off of his face.

But instead he focused on Hoongjoong.

'Is it an emergency?' he asked.

'Taehyung called for backup.'

Jimin went pale and disconnected with Hobi.

'WE HAVE TO GO.'

Yoongi grabbed his shoulder when he tried to pass him and looked at Hoongjoong.

'Go.' he ordered. 'Jimin is staying with me.'

'NO!' Jimin protested, but Hoongjoong didn't have any reason to argue with this order. He was in a hurry. He disappeared before Jimin could even reach him.

Jimin harshly freed himself from Yoongi's grip and turned to him.

'You do not have any right to stop me here! You are not my...!' Jimin stopped mid sentence.

Yoongi smirked.

Jimin snapped off his unwelcomed pause.

'EVEN if you are my boss there is no reason for me to be here when they need help!!'

'You would slow Hoongjoong down.' Yoongi replied calmly.

Jimin looked at him with hurt.

Of course. He wasn't one of the Executors. He wasn't even an independent Hunter yet.

Yoongi looked at his expression and rolled his eyes.

'And he has to be fast right now. That's why you will go with me.' Yoongi showed him the keys. 'The car is there.' he pointed to the next street.

'You do not even know where to go.' Jimin burked.

'Where Taehyung had patrol tonight?'

'In the port area.'
