Chapter 26: Milady

Jimin felt the bone freezing fear. Not because of the sudden ambush. Not because of Hoseok having a knife to his throat, but because the strongest individuals he knew didn't move an inch to stop this situation.

Was it someone so powerful they were afraid of a blood bath? There were more of them here, right? Even three old vampires wouldn't stand a chance with all of them.

Who were they so they all froze like this?!

He gulped hard and felt Yoongi squeezed his knee under the table.

Jimin lifted his shocked eyes at Dami.

Her gaze was dark when she was looking at the person holding the knife. In her hand there was a small silver fork, she was eating cheesecake with. She didn't say a word, but the fork danced between her fingers and suddenly the fork broke in half with a shrill sound. It was a clear warning she is not amused right now.

Jimin expected her to jump across the table in the next second, but she wasn't going to. Instead he heard a dangerous tone he had never heard before from Hoseok:

'Kid... take a step back. Now.'

Jimin thought he said that to him.

The woman in the mask for a moment was looking into Hoseok green, from anger, eyes. A second later the knife was slightly adjusted from Hoseok's skin. She made a tiny step back.

'I guess I finally got your attention, Lord Jung.' A delicate, melodious voice said. She nodded slightly and two other figures put their hands up, showed them the guns, hid them slowly and made a step back from Jimin and Jungkook.

As soon as it happened Taehyung, Yoongi and Jungkook got up, right after them all the Executors. They surrounded three people inside the circle, where Hoseok and the woman were still battling with their eyes.

Jimin slowly turned to have a clearer view. Neither the vampires nor Jungkook made a move. They didn't have weapons and weren't even in half as terrified as Jimin was. They were observing, focusing on Hoseok.

Dami, being the image of dissatisfaction, took out her cigarettes. Yeonsang quickly lightened up the one she was holding. She just said one word to no one particular:

'Explain.'

Woman's eyes traveled to Dami.

'Milady's request is clear. She summoned Lord Jung. And asked to bring Kim Jungkook and Park Jimin by the way.'

'This is not her usual way of summoning if I recollect well.' Dami said.

'And it wouldn't be necessary tonight also...' the girl's eyes traveled back to Hoseok. 'If Lord Jung would perform his duties when he was politely invited...'

'Hoseok?' Dami asked dangerously.

'Invitation was accidentally destroyed.' Hoseok said with a dark tone.

'Nine?' the women asked maliciously.

Dami let out an irritated sigh.

'Hobi, are you insane?' she shook her head.

Jimin exchanged gazes with Yoongi, Jungkook and Taehyung. Yoongi's face was careful and attentive, but Tae and JK were as puzzled as Jimin was.

'What is happening here?!' Namjoon came fast with heavy hard steps. Jin was trailing behind him with a worried face.

Jimin breathed out a sigh of relief. For a moment he forgot that nobody could get hurt in the place secured by Lord Protector.
