Chapter 19: Bloodlines

After six hours of peaceful and content sleep, Jungkook and Taehyung opened their eyes at once, just a second before the bedroom's door opened suddenly.

'Where is Jimin?!' Yoongi burst inside the room.

Taehyung rolled his eyes and tried to snuggle more to Jungkook's side, uninterested. Jungkook whined and covered his face with the pillow, mumbling:

'Is he five? What the hell, hyung? He is at his place, where else?'

'YOU LEFT HIM THERE?!'

'He lives there.' The pillow was muffling Jungkook's words.

'He is ALONE there. And it is not a safe place!'

'UGH!' Jungkook sat on the bed, making Taehyung whine "Don't." 'Hyung, I lived there for 3 years. Barely anyone knows that place exists, not to mention that there is an apartment there... Jimin will be here at 6 pm.'

'It's 6:07!'

Jungkook sighed and got up off the bed.

'He will be here soon.' he shook his head, annoyed.

Jungkook passed Yoongi and went to the kitchen.

Taehyung sat on the bed as well and glared at Yoongi. He was not amused at all that his cuddling bed time was stolen so abruptly. The other didn't have a damn he followed Jungkook.

'What if...!?'

'HYUNG.' Jungkook stopped and turned to Yoongi. He had a warning in his eyes. 'Jimin is a top graduate from Police Academy that is skilled in combat and shooting. He is devoted to hunter's training and he is damn good at it. Give him credits he deserves for it! He is a grown up man! Not a kid! Not a teenager! A man! He survived without you for 20 years. And he will survive more. So if you want to stay near, treat him properly as an adult and soldier in the first place despite other things that are going on. That's an advice.' Jungkook was looking at Yoongi sternly. 'Jimin was locked up too much in his life already. Don't make a cage out of your care. Don't overdo it. And yes - that's a warning!'

Jungkook and Yoongi were glaring at each other.

'Remember who you are talking to.' Yoongi said quietly.

'And you remember that currently I am the only person Jimin has and trusts. So if it means going against you the hard way - I will do that.'

'You are not the only one who cares about him.'

'But I am the only one who cares, he is willing to accept. So I won't betray him.' Jungkook sighed. 'Hyung, I am trying to help you here. Stop seeing only his fragile sides. You can only do more damage.'

Yoongi flinched.

Jungkook for a moment was battling if he should make Yoongi realize Jimin doesn't necessarily want to become a vampire. But it was Jimin's inner battle and something he had to figure out.

Taehyung who was leaning quietly on the doorframe, letting them talk, made few steps, brushed over Jungkook's waist and whispered:

'I will prepare you a coffee.'

Jungkook nodded in a silent thank you.

Yoongi frowned.

'What did you mean, he was locked up?'

'I thought Hoseok hyung kept an eye on him.'

'As I know only on adoption papers. He wasn't stalking his every move.'

Jungkook sighed.

'Maybe he should have. But it is not my place to tell you.'

'Listen, brat! I can cope with your alpha tone,' Yoongi was talking, while there was knocking on the doors.' but don't cross the line!'
